The AirTAC GFR400C15MF1WT AirTAC Filter Regulator, NPT 1/2 in, 5 um is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has See datasheet ports, a differential-pressure drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR400 series is a filter regulator: it removes water and particulate from compressed air and regulates downstream pressure in a single body, so one 1/2 in unit does both jobs in the air-preparation position. This configuration is the 400 size with NPT 1/2 in ports, a manual drain bowl, a fine 5 um filter element (code W), and the fitted square pressure gauge reading in MPa. The standard regulator covers 0.05-0.9 MPa (7-130 psi) with manual drain, and maximum inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi). Operating temperature is -5 to 70 C (non-freezing).
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR family is published in 200, 300, 400 and 600 sizes with port options from 1/8 in to 1 in, PT as standard thread and G or NPT as order options, a choice of manual, automatic or differential-pressure drain, 40 um standard or 5 um fine filtration, gauge scale choices, and low-pressure or standard regulator types. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rated figure, so ask us to confirm the datasheet and sizing for your application.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

On a stamping or assembly press, the 1/2 in NPT ports and 5 um element feed clamp and ejector cylinders with cleaned, regulated air, and the MPa gauge lets the setter dial the clamp pressure at the cell.
On a cartoning or case-packing conveyor line, this filter regulator cleans water and fine particulate out of the supply and holds steady pressure to the diverters and pushers, with the manual drain bled at shift checks.
At a CNC machining center or fabrication-shop air drop, the 400-size body handles the main supply to tool changers and pallet clamps, with the square gauge giving the operator a direct MPa readout at the machine.
Step up or down through the 200/300/400/600 sizes to match the port and flow path your line needs; this 400 size with 1/2 in NPT threads suits mid-to-large actuator circuits. Choose the drain to match attendance: manual (this unit) for a supervised drain point, automatic where nobody will bleed the bowl, or differential-pressure as the default. Choose the 5 um element (this unit) where downstream valves and instruments need finer air than the 40 um standard element provides. Gauge scale is selectable (MPa, psi or bar), and PT is the standard thread with G and NPT as order options; a bracket is included on this configuration.
One honest note before you order: AirTAC publishes filter-regulator flow as curves, not as a single rated number, so we do not quote a rated flow figure here. Send us your application and we will confirm the sizing against the datasheet before you commit.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR400 series as performance curves, not as a single rated figure, so we do not quote a rated flow number. Tell us your application and we will confirm the flow and sizing from the datasheet on request before you order.
Code M in GFR400C15MF1WT is the manual drain: collected water is bled from the bowl by hand at the drain fitting. It suits attended installations where someone checks the bowl on a schedule; if the unit will sit unattended, ask us about the automatic or differential-pressure drain versions of the same GFR400-15 configuration.
