The AirTAC GFR400C15MJC2WT AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT1/2 5 um is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has See datasheet ports, a differential-pressure drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The GFR400C15MJC2WT is an AirTAC GFR-series filter regulator: water and particulate filtration plus pressure regulation combined in a single body. This size 400 unit carries a 1/2 in NPT port, a 5 um filter element (the finer of the two catalogue grades), a manual drain on the bowl, and a round pressure gauge reading in psi. The standard regulator covers an adjustment range of 0.05-0.9 MPa (7-130 psi) with manual drain, maximum inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi), and the working temperature range is -5 to 70 C, non-freezing. The bowl on this size is polycarbonate (PC); the J code means no mounting bracket is fitted.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR family spans sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with ports from 1/8 in to 1 in, and each size can be ordered with a different drain type, a 40 um or 5 um element, square or round gauges in MPa, psi or bar scales, a bracket, and PT, G or NPT threads. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rated figure, so ask us to confirm the datasheet and sizing for your application before ordering.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Point-of-use conditioning for the air cylinders and grippers on a carton-forming or case-packing conveyor, where the 5 um element protects valve spools and the regulator holds a stable working pressure downstream of a larger plant drop.
Filtering and regulating the supply to a machining centre's tool-change cylinder and air-blast circuit, with the round psi gauge giving the operator a clear local reading at the machine's 1/2 in air inlet.
A wall- or header-mounted conditioning point feeding pneumatic tools and fixtures at an assembly bench, where the manual-drain bowl is bled during shift checks and the regulator is set to the bench's working pressure.
Choose the size by the port and flow step you need: 200, 300, 400 and 600 step up in both port size and flow capacity, and this unit is the size 400 with a 1/2 in NPT port. Drain type is a real choice: manual drain means someone bleeds the bowl, while automatic and differential-pressure drains handle condensate without attention - this unit is the manual-drain version. Filter grade is 40 um standard or 5 um (code W) for finer protection; this unit carries the 5 um element. Gauges are embedded square as standard with an external round gauge optional, in MPa, psi or bar scales; this unit has the round psi gauge. Thread is PT as the catalogue standard with G and NPT as order options - this unit is NPT. A bracket can be added or omitted (omitted here). Flow is published as curves, not a single rating, so send us your application and we will confirm sizing against the datasheet before you order.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR series as curves rather than a single rated figure, so we do not quote a rated flow, Cv or SCFM number. Tell us your application and required flow, and we will confirm the sizing against the datasheet on request before you order.
The M code in the position after the port specifies a manual drain: condensate collected in the bowl is released by hand rather than automatically. A manual drain suits points that are checked regularly, such as machine-side or bench-side installations. If the unit sits where nobody bleeds it, the automatic (A) or differential-pressure (blank) drain versions of the same size are the better choice - and note the manual-drain version also carries the wider 0.05-0.9 MPa (7-130 psi) regulation range.
