The AirTAC GFR400C15MLC1T AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT1/2 is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has See datasheet ports, a differential-pressure drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The GFR400C15MLC1T is an AirTAC GFR-series filter regulator: in a single body it removes water and particulate from compressed air and holds downstream pressure at your set point. This size 400 configuration has a 1/2 in NPT port, a metal bowl with a manual drain, a 40 um standard filter element, and a round pressure gauge reading in MPa. It is the low-pressure type, specified for circuits that run at reduced working pressures, and it is supplied with a mounting bracket.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR range spans sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with ports from 1/8 to 1 in, and options across the range include automatic, manual or differential-pressure drains, a 5 um element, G or NPT threads in addition to the PT standard, square or round gauges with MPa, psi or bar scales, and a reverse-flow check valve. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rating, so ask us to confirm sizing and datasheet figures for your application before ordering.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

| (blank) | Drain: Differential-pressure drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi)). |

Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

On a paint line, this unit filters water and particulate out of the air feeding the spray guns and holds the supply pressure steady at the low setting the booth circuit runs at, with the manual drain bled during shift changeovers.
On a packaging conveyor, the filter section keeps moisture and debris out of the cylinders that drive the flap folders and tape heads, while the regulator holds a reduced working pressure for the gentle-actuation zone.
For a machining centre fixture that clamps delicate workpieces, the unit cleans the shop air and regulates it down to the reduced pressure the clamping circuit is set for, with the MPa gauge giving the operator a local reading.
Start with the port step: this unit is size 400 with a 1/2 in NPT port, and the GFR ladder runs 200/300/400/600 with ports from 1/8 to 1 in, so step up or down if your line size or air demand points elsewhere. Drain choice matters: this version has a manual drain you bleed by hand, while automatic and differential-pressure drains are available if you cannot rely on scheduled maintenance. The 40 um element is the standard grade; specify the W code for the 5 um grade where finer filtration is needed. The round gauge fitted here reads in MPa; psi and bar scales are order options. Thread is NPT on this unit, with G (BSPP) also orderable and PT as the catalogue standard. Note that this is the low-pressure type; its exact adjustment range is not published, so confirm it with us. Flow is published as curves, not a single rating, so ask us to confirm sizing against your application before ordering.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR series as curves rather than a single rated figure, so there is no one l/min or SCFM number we can honestly quote. Tell us your line size and air demand and we will confirm the sizing from the datasheet curves for your application on request.
The M in the code means the metal bowl is drained by hand: an operator opens the drain to release collected water, which suits lines with scheduled maintenance rounds. If nobody will bleed the bowl regularly, the same size is available with an automatic or a differential-pressure drain instead - just ask for that variant code.
