The AirTAC GFR400C15MLF2G AirTAC Filter Regulator G1/2 Low-Pressure is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has See datasheet ports, a differential-pressure drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR400C15MLF2G is a filter regulator: it removes water and particulate from compressed air and holds downstream pressure at a set point, in one body. This unit is the 400 size with a G1/2 (BSPP) port, a metal drain bowl drained by hand, a 40 um standard filter element, and low-pressure regulation for circuits that run below standard line pressure. The embedded square gauge reads in psi, and a mounting bracket is included.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR400 series is one of four sizes (200, 300, 400, 600) with port options from 1/8 to 1 in, a choice of differential-pressure, automatic or manual drain, an optional 5 um element (code W), gauge scales in MPa, psi or bar, and PT, G or NPT threads. Max inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi) and the working temperature range is -5 to 70 C, non-freezing. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rating, so ask us to confirm figures against your application.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Textile machines that run their air headers at reduced pressure get both jobs from this one unit: the 40 um element strips water and scale from the shop supply, and the low-pressure regulation holds the header set point, with the psi gauge giving operators a direct read at the machine.
On a spray-paint line, the regulator holds a low atomizing-air set point while the filter keeps water and pipe scale out of the spray supply. The manual drain suits a booth that is checked at every shift change, and the included bracket mounts the unit at the line drop.
A G1/2 feed to a packaging line's conveyor and gate cylinders: the unit cleans the shop air before it reaches the valves and regulates it to the pressure the cylinders were sized for, one stop at the drop instead of a separate filter and regulator.
Size and port set the flow path: the 400 size with a G1/2 port sits mid-range in the GFR line, one step above the 300 and below the 600, so step up or down if your line flow differs. Drain is manual here - you bleed the bowl by hand - so choose automatic or differential-pressure drain if the unit is mounted where routine bleeding is awkward. The 40 um element is the standard grade; specify code W for 5 um if downstream equipment needs finer filtration. The square gauge is fitted with a psi scale; MPa or bar scales and an external round gauge are order options. Thread is G (BSPP) on this unit; PT is the standard thread and G or NPT are catalogue options to order. A bracket is included. Flow is published as curves, not a single rating, so send us your flow and pressure requirements and we will confirm sizing from the datasheet before you order.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR400 as curves rather than a single rated figure, so we do not quote a number here. Send us your line pressure, set pressure and required flow, and we will confirm from the datasheet whether this 400 size with its G1/2 port suits your application.
Manual drain means the collected water is bled from the metal bowl by hand, which suits units mounted where an operator passes regularly. If the unit sits out of reach or you want unattended draining, the same size is available with automatic or differential-pressure drain - ask us and we will quote the variant.
