The AirTAC GFR600-20 AirTAC Filter Regulator 3/4 in NPT, 5 um is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 5 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT3/4" ports, a differential-pressure drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR600-20 is a filter regulator: it removes water and particulate from compressed air and holds downstream pressure steady in a single 600-size body. This configuration is fitted with a 5 um filter element (code W) for finer filtration than the standard 40 um grade, a differential-pressure drain that bleeds collected condensate automatically as flow passes through, and a round external gauge reading in MPa so the set pressure is visible at a glance. The K code adds a reverse (check) valve, and the J code means this unit is supplied without a mounting bracket. The 3/4 in NPT port suits main air drops and higher-flow branch lines.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR family spans sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with port options from 1/8 in to 1 in, PT, G and NPT threads, manual, automatic or differential-pressure drains, 40 um or 5 um elements, and gauge choices. Flow figures are published as curves rather than a single rating, so we confirm the datasheet and sizing figures on request before you order.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.
| GFR600 | G-series filter regulator, 600 body — sets the port range. |
|---|---|
| 20 | Port size PT3/4". This body offers 20 = PT3/4", 25 = PT1". |
| (blank) | Drain: Differential-pressure drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi)). |
| (blank) | Standard type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |
| J | Supplied without bracket. |
| (blank) | Pressure gauge fitted (blank). |
| C | Gauge shape: Round. C is round, F is square. |
| 1 | Gauge scale: MPa. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| W | Filtering grade 5 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| T | NPT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| K | Reverse-flow (reflux) valve fitted. |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Feeding clean, regulated air to tool changers, clamps and pneumatic actuators on a machining centre, where the 5 um element protects fine valves from particles and the check valve holds the circuit against backflow.
Conditioning the air feeding carton sealers, case packers and conveyor diverters, with the round MPa gauge letting line technicians verify set pressure during changeover.
Installed on a 3/4 in drop from the plant air main to a work cell, filtering condensed water from the header supply and holding a stable working pressure for the cell's pneumatic tools.
Step up through the GFR sizes (200 to 600) as your port and air demand grow; the 600 size with a 3/4 in NPT port is the choice for larger branch lines and main drops. Choose the 5 um element (W) when downstream equipment needs finer filtration than the standard 40 um grade. Drain options are differential-pressure (this unit, self-acting with flow), automatic (time-independent), or manual (you drain the bowl). Gauge choices are the embedded square gauge or an external round gauge, in MPa, psi or bar scales; this unit carries a round MPa gauge. Thread is NPT here, with PT and G available to order, and the J code omits the optional bracket. Flow is published as curves, not a single rating, so ask us to confirm sizing against your application before ordering.
Quick checklist
The aluminium-alloy bowl on the GFR600 suits harsher environments than a PC bowl. The reflux valve permits reverse flow through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes GFR flow as curves, not as a single rated figure, so we do not quote a rated flow, Cv or SCFM number. Tell us your application and required flow and we will confirm the sizing against the datasheet curves on request before you order.
The W code selects the optional 5 um filter element instead of the standard 40 um grade, for finer particle removal ahead of sensitive downstream equipment. The K code fits a reverse (check) valve that blocks backflow through the unit. Both are decodable from the model code, and the differential-pressure drain (blank position) handles condensate automatically as air flows through.
