The AirTAC GFR600-20 AirTAC Filter Regulator, NPT3/4, 5 um is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 5 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT3/4" ports, a automatic drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR600-20 is a size-600 filter regulator: it removes water and particulate from compressed air and regulates downstream pressure in one body. This configuration is threaded NPT3/4 (3/4 in), carries the 5 um filter element (code W) instead of the 40 um standard element, and has an automatic drain that expels collected condensate without manual attention. The regulator is the standard type with an adjustment range of 0.15-0.9 MPa (20-130 psi) and maximum inlet pressure of 1.0 MPa (145 psi). Because this is the 600 size, the bowl is aluminium alloy, and a mounting bracket is included. A reverse/check valve is fitted, and no gauge is supplied with this configuration. Operating temperature is -5 to 70 C (non-freezing).
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR family is available in sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with port sizes from 1/8 in to 1 in, in PT (standard), G and NPT threads, with differential-pressure, automatic or manual drains, 40 um or 5 um filtration, gauge options and an optional reverse/check valve. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rated figure, so ask us to confirm the datasheet figures for your application before ordering.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

| 20 | Port size PT3/4". This body offers 20 = PT3/4", 25 = PT1". |
| A | Drain: Automatic drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi)). |
| (blank) | Standard type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |
| (blank) | Mounting bracket included. |
| N | No pressure gauge (N). |
| (blank) | Gauge shape: Factory standard. C is round, F is square. |
| (blank) | Gauge scale: Factory standard. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| W | Filtering grade 5 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| T | NPT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| K | Reverse-flow (reflux) valve fitted. |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Feeding spray guns and air-assisted applicators on a paint line, where the 5 um element cuts carryover of water and particles to the finish and the regulator holds a steady set pressure at the gun.
Supplying the pneumatic cylinders and flap-tuck actuators on a carton sealer, with the automatic drain clearing condensate through long shifts so the valves downstream stay clean and dry.
Regulating and filtering the air feed to pneumatic clamps and tool-changer circuits on a machining centre, where a stable set pressure keeps clamping force repeatable part after part.
Size and port are the first decision: 200/300/400/600 step up in port size and flow capacity, so match the size to the air demand of the circuit rather than to the pipe alone; this unit is the 600 size with a 3/4 in NPT port. Drain type is next: automatic drain (this unit) suits unattended or high-condensate duty, manual drain suits attended installations, and the differential-pressure drain is the catalogue default. Filter grade is 40 um standard or 5 um (code W, this unit) where finer particulate removal is needed. Gauge can be included or omitted (this configuration has none), with square or round gauges in MPa, psi or bar scales. Thread is PT as standard, with G and NPT as order options; a bracket is included here. Flow is published as curves, not a single rating, so ask us to confirm sizing against your application before ordering.
Quick checklist
The aluminium-alloy bowl on the GFR600 suits harsher environments than a PC bowl. The reflux valve permits reverse flow through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR series as curves rather than a single rated figure, so we do not quote a rated flow number. Tell us your application and we will confirm the relevant datasheet flow figures for the GFR600-20 on request before you order.
The N in the code means no gauge is supplied with this configuration; gauge options with square or round dials in MPa, psi or bar scales are available in the family if you want a visual set-point reference. The A in the code is the automatic drain: it discharges collected condensate from the aluminium bowl by itself, so the unit does not rely on an operator opening a manual drain.
