The AirTAC GFR600-20 AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT3/4, 5 um is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 5 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT3/4" ports, a manual drain and regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR600-20 is a filter regulator: it removes water and particulate from compressed air and regulates downstream pressure in a single body. This size 600 unit is specified with a 3/4 in NPT port, a 5 um filter element (the finer of the two published grades), a manual drain on the bowl, and a fitted reverse/check valve that holds downstream pressure when the upstream supply is lost. The bowl on size 600 units is aluminium alloy. A round external pressure gauge with an MPa scale is fitted, and the standard regulator adjustment range for this manual-drain configuration is 0.05-0.9 MPa (7-130 psi). Maximum inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi) and the working temperature range is -5 to 70 C, non-freezing.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR filter-regulator family is published in sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with port sizes from 1/8 in to 1 in, a choice of 40 um standard or 5 um (W) elements, differential-pressure, automatic or manual drains, embedded square or external round gauges with MPa, psi or bar scales, and PT, G or NPT threads. Flow for this series is published as curves rather than a single rated figure, so ask us to confirm the datasheet figures for your application before ordering.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

|---|---|
| 20 | Port size PT3/4". This body offers 20 = PT3/4", 25 = PT1". |
| M | Drain: Manual drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi)). |
| (blank) | Standard type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |
| J | Supplied without bracket. |
| (blank) | Pressure gauge fitted (blank). |
| C | Gauge shape: Round. C is round, F is square. |
| 1 | Gauge scale: MPa. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| W | Filtering grade 5 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| T | NPT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| K | Reverse-flow (reflux) valve fitted. |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Point-of-use conditioning for a CNC machining cell: the 5 um element and regulation protect solenoid valves, chucks and clamping cylinders on the machine from water and particulate carry-over in the shop air main.
Feeding filtered, regulated air to the pneumatic actuators on a carton-forming and sealing conveyor line, where the check valve holds set pressure on the downstream side if the upstream supply dips.
Conditioning the air feeding a valve manifold bank on an automated assembly station, with the 3/4 in NPT port matching the larger main feeding multiple directional valves downstream.
Work through the real, decodable choices before ordering. Size: 200, 300, 400 or 600 sets the port step and the flow envelope - step up to 600 (3/4 in here) when the line needs more air than a 300 or 400 can pass. Drain: manual (this unit) means someone opens the drain periodically; automatic or differential-pressure drains handle it without attention. Filter grade: 40 um is the standard element; 5 um (code W, fitted here) suits finer downstream equipment. Gauge: embedded square or external round, with MPa, psi or bar scales. Thread: PT is the standard; G (BSPP) and NPT are catalogue options to order. Bracket: J means no bracket is supplied. Because flow is published as curves and not a single rating, ask us to confirm sizing against your application before you order.
Quick checklist
The aluminium-alloy bowl on the GFR600 suits harsher environments than a PC bowl. The reflux valve permits reverse flow through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR series as curves, not as a single rated number, so we do not quote a flow figure here. Tell us your application and we will confirm the relevant flow figures from the datasheet on request before you order.
The M in the code means the bowl drain is operated by hand: someone opens it periodically to let accumulated water out. If you would rather not rely on that routine, the same GFR600 size is available with an automatic drain (code A) or the default differential-pressure drain - note the regulator adjustment range differs by drain type: 0.05-0.9 MPa (7-130 psi) with a manual drain, 0.15-0.9 MPa (20-130 psi) with automatic or differential-pressure.
