The AirTAC GFR600-20 AirTAC Filter Regulator, NPT3/4, 5 um, Auto Drain is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 5 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT3/4" ports, a automatic drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR600-20 is a filter regulator: it removes water and particulate from compressed air and regulates downstream pressure in a single body. This size 600 unit is specified with a 3/4 in NPT port, a 5 um filter element (the finer of the two published grades), an automatic drain that expels collected condensate without manual attention, an aluminium alloy bowl, an embedded square pressure gauge scaled in MPa, and a built-in reverse (check) valve. No mounting bracket is fitted on this configuration.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR family spans sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with port sizes from 1/8 in to 1 in, a choice of drain types, 40 um or 5 um filtration, and gauge or no-gauge variants. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rated figure, so ask us and we will confirm the datasheet figures for your application on request.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.
| GFR600 | G-series filter regulator, 600 body — sets the port range. |
|---|---|
| 20 | Port size PT3/4". This body offers 20 = PT3/4", 25 = PT1". |
| A | Drain: Automatic drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi)). |
| (blank) | Standard type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |
| J | Supplied without bracket. |
| (blank) | Pressure gauge fitted (blank). |
| F | Gauge shape: Square. C is round, F is square. |
| 1 | Gauge scale: MPa. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| W | Filtering grade 5 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| T | NPT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| K | Reverse-flow (reflux) valve fitted. |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Clean, regulated air at a set pressure for fixture clamps and tool-change cylinders on a machining centre, with the 5 um element protecting fine valve internals.
Filtering and regulating the supply to conveyor stopper cylinders and diverters on a packaging line, with automatic drain keeping condensate off the line without daily checks.
Conditioning plant air for filler and capper actuators on a bottling line, where the check valve holds downstream pressure if the upstream supply dips.
Sizing within the GFR family is a step choice: sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 pair with progressively larger ports (1/8 in up to 1 in) and progressively higher flow capacity, so pick the size whose curve covers your demand with margin. This unit is already the largest size with a 3/4 in NPT port. The 5 um element suits applications needing finer particulate removal than the 40 um standard; the automatic drain suits unattended installations where manual or differential-pressure draining is impractical. The square gauge is scaled in MPa; psi or bar scales and an external round gauge are available in other variants. PT is the standard thread, with G (BSPP) and NPT as orderable options - this unit carries NPT.
Because flow is published as curves rather than a single rating, ask us to confirm sizing against your application before ordering.
Quick checklist
The aluminium-alloy bowl on the GFR600 suits harsher environments than a PC bowl. The reflux valve permits reverse flow through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR family as curves, not as a single rated figure, so we do not quote one number. Tell us your application and we will confirm the datasheet flow figures for this 3/4 in, size 600 unit on request before you order.
The 5 um element (code W) filters more finely than the 40 um standard, which helps protect sensitive downstream valves and cylinders. The automatic drain (code A) discharges collected condensate by itself, so it suits installations that are not checked daily. Both are factory-fitted on this configuration.
