The AirTAC GFR600-20 AirTAC Filter Regulator PT3/4, 5 um, Manual Drain is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 5 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT3/4" ports, a manual drain and regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR600-20 is a filter regulator: it removes water and particulate from compressed air and sets downstream pressure in a single body. This size 600 unit carries a PT3/4 (3/4 in) PT thread, a 5 um filter element (the finer of the two catalogue grades, the standard being 40 um), and a manual drain, so condensate is released when an operator opens the drain rather than automatically. The pressure gauge fitted is the embedded square type with a psi scale, and the standard regulator covers an adjustment range of 0.05-0.9 MPa (7-130 psi). Maximum inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi) and the working temperature range is -5 to 70 C (non-freezing).
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR range is published in sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with ports from 1/8 to 1 inch, a choice of manual, automatic or differential-pressure drain, 40 um or 5 um filtration, MPa, psi or bar gauge scales, and PT, G or NPT threads. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rated figure, so ask us to confirm the datasheet and sizing for your application.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

| M | Drain: Manual drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi)). |
| (blank) | Standard type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |
| (blank) | Mounting bracket included. |

| F | Gauge shape: Square. C is round, F is square. |
| 2 | Gauge scale: psi. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| W | Filtering grade 5 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |

| (blank) | No reverse-flow valve (the default). |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Installed where the 3/4 in main drops air to a wrapping or cartoning line, the GFR600-20 cleans the supply of water and debris and holds a steady regulated pressure so sealing and clamp cylinders behave consistently shift after shift.
Ahead of a pneumatic press or workholding clamps, the 5 um element protects directional valves and cylinders from particulate while the regulator sets the clamping pressure the process was designed around, read directly on the psi gauge.
On a conveyor line using air jets or blow-off nozzles, this unit filters the supply at 5 um and lets operators set and hold the blowing pressure with the manual drain cleared during scheduled checks.
Size 600 with a PT3/4 port is the largest step in the GFR range, so start there when the line supplies high-consumption equipment and step down to 300/400 only if the flow curves allow it - we will check the curves against your demand on request. This configuration pairs the 5 um element with a manual drain: choose it where finer protection matters and someone is already at the unit routinely; pick automatic drain if condensate must leave without operator action, or differential-pressure drain for the default behaviour. The square gauge here reads in psi; MPa and bar scales are also catalogue options. PT is the standard thread, with G and NPT available to order, and the mounting bracket is included.
Quick checklist
The aluminium-alloy bowl on the GFR600 suits harsher environments than a PC bowl. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR series as curves, not as a single rated figure, so we do not quote a number that is not on the datasheet. Send us your line pressure and the demand of the equipment downstream and we will confirm the sizing against the published curves and provide the datasheet on request.
The M in GFR60020MF2W is the manual drain: condensate collects in the bowl until an operator opens the drain, which suits stations visited during routine checks. If the unit sits where nobody passes regularly, the same size 600 filter regulator is available with an automatic drain that discharges condensate on its own, or with the differential-pressure drain as the default.
