The AirTAC GFR600-20 AirTAC Filter Regulator PT3/4 Low-Pressure 5 um is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 5 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT3/4" ports, a differential-pressure drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The GFR600-20 is an AirTAC GFR-series filter regulator: filtration and pressure regulation combined in a single body. Water and particulate are stripped from the compressed air by a 5 um element (the finer of the two catalogue grades), and the cleaned air is then regulated by the low-pressure type regulator. This size-600 unit carries a PT3/4 port, a differential-pressure drain that bleeds collected condensate automatically as flow passes through, and an aluminium alloy bowl - the material used at size 600. A square pressure gauge scaled in psi is fitted, and the built-in reverse (check) valve holds downstream settings if the supply is interrupted. No mounting bracket is included in this configuration.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR family spans sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with port sizes from 1/8" to 1", in PT (standard), G and NPT threads, with 40 um or 5 um filtration, differential-pressure, automatic or manual drains, and gauge options. Flow for this model is published as curves rather than a single rated figure - ask us and we will confirm the datasheet figures for your application before you order.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. The low-pressure type adjusts over a lower band than standard; we confirm the exact figures from the factory datasheet. Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.
| GFR600 | G-series filter regulator, 600 body — sets the port range. |
|---|---|
| 20 | Port size PT3/4". This body offers 20 = PT3/4", 25 = PT1". |
| (blank) | Drain: Differential-pressure drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi)). |
| L | Low-pressure type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |
| J | Supplied without bracket. |
| (blank) | Pressure gauge fitted (blank). |
| F | Gauge shape: Square. C is round, F is square. |
| 2 | Gauge scale: psi. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| W | Filtering grade 5 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| (blank) | PT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| K | Reverse-flow (reflux) valve fitted. |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

On a machining centre where workpieces are held by air clamps running at reduced pressure, the GFR600-20 filters the supply to 5 um and regulates it at low setpoints, with the check valve holding clamp force if the main supply drops.
At a 3/4" plant-air takeoff feeding a packaging machine's valves and actuators, this unit removes water and fine particulate in one body and regulates the circuit pressure, with the psi gauge giving operators a local reading.
Where dilute-phase conveying or low-pressure process air needs clean, regulated supply at moderate pressure, the 5 um element protects the downstream valves while the low-pressure regulator holds the process setpoint.
Start with the port and size: this is the 600 frame with a 3/4" PT port, the largest step in the family, suited to lines where substantial air volume passes through - match it against your demand via the flow curves rather than a single rating. The 5 um element (code W) is the finer choice over the 40 um standard; pick it when downstream valves, cylinders or instruments tolerate less particulate. Drain is the differential-pressure type (default); automatic (A) and manual (M) versions exist if your duty cycle suits them better. The fitted square gauge reads in psi; MPa and bar scales and an external round gauge are available. Thread is PT as standard - G (BSPP) and NPT are order options. This is the low-pressure (L) type regulator, so confirm the regulation range against your setpoint before ordering; no mounting bracket is included (code J).
Quick checklist
The aluminium-alloy bowl on the GFR600 suits harsher environments than a PC bowl. The reflux valve permits reverse flow through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR series as curves, not as a single rated number, so we do not quote a rated flow, Cv or SCFM figure. Send us your line pressure, set pressure and air demand and we will confirm the sizing from the datasheet curves before you order.
The L code makes this a low-pressure type regulator, intended for circuits regulated well below standard setpoints - the exact range is not published, so confirm it with us against your setpoint. The W code fits the 5 um element instead of the 40 um standard, the right choice when downstream valves, cylinders or instruments need finer filtration. Both are factory build options on the same GFR600 body.
