The AirTAC GFR600-20 AirTAC Filter Regulator PT3/4 Low-Pressure is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT3/4" ports, a manual drain and regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR600-20 is a filter regulator: it removes water and particulate from compressed air and holds downstream pressure at your setting, in a single body. This size 600 unit has a 3/4 in PT port, a manual-drain bowl in aluminium alloy, the 40 um standard filter element, and an embedded square gauge scaled in psi. It is the low-pressure type of the GFR range, and no reverse/check valve is fitted.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR family is available in sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with ports from 1/8 to 1 in, a choice of manual, automatic or differential-pressure drains, 40 um or 5 um (W) filtration, G or NPT thread options, and bracket or no-bracket variants. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rated figure, so ask us to confirm the datasheet figures for your application.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. The low-pressure type adjusts over a lower band than standard; we confirm the exact figures from the factory datasheet. Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.
| GFR600 | G-series filter regulator, 600 body — sets the port range. |
|---|---|
| 20 | Port size PT3/4". This body offers 20 = PT3/4", 25 = PT1". |
| M | Drain: Manual drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi)). |
| L | Low-pressure type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |
| J | Supplied without bracket. |
| (blank) | Pressure gauge fitted (blank). |
| F | Gauge shape: Square. C is round, F is square. |
| 2 | Gauge scale: psi. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| (blank) | Filtering grade 40 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| (blank) | PT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| (blank) | No reverse-flow valve (the default). |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Filtering and holding reduced pressure to clamping cylinders on a low-pressure press circuit, with the 3/4 in port feeding larger actuators directly.
Conditioning shop air ahead of low-pressure spray and coating stations: the 40 um element drops water and particulate before the regulator sets the gun pressure.
Supplying filtered, regulated air to valve islands and actuators on packaging machinery, with the psi gauge giving operators a local pressure readout.
Size the unit by port and required flow: this configuration is size 600 with a 3/4 in PT port, the largest step in the GFR range. The drain is manual (code M), so the bowl is emptied by hand - the right choice where the installation is checked routinely; automatic (A) and differential-pressure (blank) drains are available if you want unattended draining. Filtration is the 40 um standard element; specify code W for the 5 um element when finer filtration is needed. The embedded square gauge is scaled in psi; MPa or bar scales and an external round gauge are options. Thread is PT as standard, with G (BSPP) and NPT as order options, and this code (J) is supplied without a mounting bracket. Flow is published as curves, not a single rated figure, so ask us to confirm sizing against your application before ordering.
Quick checklist
The aluminium-alloy bowl on the GFR600 suits harsher environments than a PC bowl. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes GFR flow as curves rather than a single rated figure, so we do not quote a number here. Ask us and we will confirm the flow for GFR600-20 at your operating conditions from the datasheet before you order.
The M in the code means the bowl is drained by hand, which suits installations checked daily or where automatic drains are not wanted. Automatic (A) and differential-pressure (blank) drain options are available on the GFR600 if you prefer unattended draining.
