The AirTAC GFR600-20 NPT AirTAC Filter Regulator, 3/4 in, 5 um is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 5 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT3/4" ports, a differential-pressure drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR600-20 is a filter regulator: it removes water and particulate from compressed air and holds downstream pressure steady in one body. This 600-size unit is fitted with NPT 3/4 in ports, a 5 um filter element (the finer of the two catalogue grades), and a differential-pressure drain that bleeds collected condensate automatically whenever the pressure differential across the element rises. The standard regulator covers an adjustment range of 0.15-0.9 MPa (20-130 psi) with a maximum inlet pressure of 1.0 MPa (145 psi). The bowl on this 600 size is aluminium alloy, and the unit operates from -5 to 70 C (non-freezing). No pressure gauge is fitted on this variant.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR family spans sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with port sizes from 1/8 in to 1 in, a choice of differential-pressure, automatic or manual drain, 40 um or 5 um filtration, optional gauges, and PT (standard), G or NPT threads. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rated figure, so ask us to confirm the datasheet and sizing for your application before ordering.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

|---|---|
| 20 | Port size PT3/4". This body offers 20 = PT3/4", 25 = PT1". |
| (blank) | Drain: Differential-pressure drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi)). |
| (blank) | Standard type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |
| J | Supplied without bracket. |
| N | No pressure gauge (N). |
| (blank) | Gauge shape: Factory standard. C is round, F is square. |
| (blank) | Gauge scale: Factory standard. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| W | Filtering grade 5 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| T | NPT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| (blank) | No reverse-flow valve (the default). |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Installed at the drop to a CNC machining centre, the GFR600-20 strips water and chips of particulate from the shop air and holds a steady regulated pressure to the machine's pneumatic valves and clamps. The 5 um element suits the machine's air-prep requirement, and the 3/4 in NPT ports match the main drop feeding the cell.
Mounted ahead of the valve manifold on a carton-forming and sealing conveyor line, this filter regulator keeps the cylinders and grippers working at a consistent set pressure while the 5 um element protects the directional valves from dirt and condensed water. The differential-pressure drain keeps condensate moving without operator attention.
Used at branch take-offs around a factory compressed-air ring main, the GFR600-20 gives each production zone its own filtered, regulated supply. The aluminium bowl and 3/4 in NPT connection suit a main-distribution point, and the standard 0.15-0.9 MPa adjustment range covers the typical working pressures of downstream tools and machines.
Size the unit by the port and flow step: 600 is the largest GFR size, with 3/4 in NPT ports on this model, so step down to 400/300/200 if your line runs lighter flow. Choose the drain to match the site: differential-pressure (this model) drains on load, automatic drains on a cycle, and manual suits infrequently attended points. Pick 5 um (this model) where downstream equipment needs finer air, or 40 um for general protection. Gauges are optional (square embedded or external round, in MPa, psi or bar scales) and are not fitted on this variant. PT is the standard thread; G and NPT are order options - this unit is ordered with NPT. A mounting bracket is optional; this variant is ordered without one.
Flow for the GFR series is published as curves, not a single rated number, so we cannot quote a rated flow here. Send us your application details and we will confirm sizing against the datasheet before you order.
Quick checklist
The aluminium-alloy bowl on the GFR600 suits harsher environments than a PC bowl. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR series as curves rather than a single rated figure, so we do not quote a rated flow, Cv or SCFM number for this unit. Send us your application details and we will confirm the flow data from the datasheet and check the sizing against your requirement before you order.
This variant is ordered with the N gauge code, so no pressure gauge is supplied. GFR units can be ordered with an embedded square gauge or an external round gauge, with MPa, psi or bar scales - just ask and we will quote the gauged variant. On filtration, 40 um is the standard element for general air preparation; the 5 um element fitted to this model is the finer option for equipment that needs cleaner air. Both grades are available across the GFR range.
