The AirTAC GFR600-20 NPT3/4 AirTAC Filter Regulator 5 um Auto Drain is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 5 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT3/4" ports, a automatic drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR600-20 is a filter regulator: it removes water and particulate from compressed air and holds downstream pressure steady in a single 3/4 in NPT body. This configuration carries the 5 um filter element (code W) for finer particle capture than the standard 40 um grade, an automatic drain that expels collected condensate without operator attention, and a round pressure gauge reading in psi. Maximum inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi) and the regulation range is 0.15-0.9 MPa (20-130 psi). Operating temperature is -5 to 70 C, non-freezing.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR600 size is the largest in the GFR range, with the 600-size bowl in aluminium alloy; smaller 200/300/400 sizes use polycarbonate bowls. Port sizes from 1/8 to 1 in, G (BSPP) and NPT thread options, drain types, filter grades, gauge styles and scales are all available across the series. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rating, so we confirm datasheet figures on request.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

| A | Drain: Automatic drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi)). |
| (blank) | Standard type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |
| (blank) | Mounting bracket included. |

| C | Gauge shape: Round. C is round, F is square. |
| 2 | Gauge scale: psi. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| W | Filtering grade 5 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| T | NPT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| (blank) | No reverse-flow valve (the default). |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Installed at the 3/4 in main drop feeding a CNC machining cell: the 5 um element strips water and fine particulate before air reaches valves and actuators, while the regulator holds a steady working pressure for consistent clamping and tool actuation.
Mounted on the supply line to pneumatic cylinders driving a packaging conveyor: the automatic drain keeps condensate out of the circuit without daily manual blows, and the psi gauge lets line staff verify set pressure at a glance.
Fitted upstream of a pneumatic press or fixture circuit: filtration plus regulation in one body saves panel space on the 3/4 in feed, and the 5 um grade protects directional valves and cylinders from fine contaminant wear.
Size and port step up with required flow: 200, 300, 400 and 600, with ports from 1/8 in to 1 in - the 600 size with a 3/4 in NPT port suits higher-demand lines. Drain choice matters in practice: automatic drain suits unattended or hard-to-reach installations, manual drain gives operator control, and differential-pressure drain is the catalogue default. Filter grade is 40 um standard or 5 um with the W code, as fitted here. Gauge style (embedded square standard, external round optional) and scale (MPa, psi or bar) are selectable, as is the thread: PT is the standard, with G (BSPP) and NPT as order options, and a mounting bracket is included.
Because flow is published as curves and not a single rated figure, ask us to confirm sizing against your application before ordering.
Quick checklist
The aluminium-alloy bowl on the GFR600 suits harsher environments than a PC bowl. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR series as curves rather than a single rated figure, so there is no one number we can state. Send us your line pressure, set pressure and air demand and we will confirm the sizing against the datasheet curves on request before you order.
This configuration carries code A, the automatic drain, which discharges collected condensate on its own - useful where the unit is mounted in a hard-to-reach spot or on an unattended line. The same GFR600 size is also available with manual drain or the differential-pressure drain (the catalogue default); ask us for those variants if you prefer operator-controlled or pressure-differential draining.
