The AirTAC GFR600-20G AirTAC Filter Regulator 3/4 in, Low-Pressure is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 5 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT3/4" ports, a differential-pressure drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR600-20G is a size-600 filter regulator: it removes water and particulate from compressed air and regulates downstream pressure in a single body. This configuration carries a G3/4 (BSPP) port, the 5 um filter element (code W) for finer filtration than the 40 um standard, a differential-pressure drain that bleeds accumulated condensate as the pressure differential rises, and a fitted round gauge with a psi scale. It is the low-pressure type (code L) and is supplied without a mounting bracket (code J). The size-600 bowl is aluminium alloy. Maximum inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi) and the working temperature range is -5 to 70 C, non-freezing.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR series is available in sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with a choice of ports, threads (PT standard; G and NPT as order options), drain types, filter grades, gauge styles and scales. Because flow for this series is published as curves rather than a single rated figure, we confirm the datasheet and sizing figures on request - just ask before ordering.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. The low-pressure type adjusts over a lower band than standard; we confirm the exact figures from the factory datasheet. Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.
| GFR600 | G-series filter regulator, 600 body — sets the port range. |
|---|---|
| 20 | Port size PT3/4". This body offers 20 = PT3/4", 25 = PT1". |
| (blank) | Drain: Differential-pressure drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi)). |
| L | Low-pressure type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |
| J | Supplied without bracket. |
| (blank) | Pressure gauge fitted (blank). |
| C | Gauge shape: Round. C is round, F is square. |
| 2 | Gauge scale: psi. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| W | Filtering grade 5 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| G | G (BSPP) thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| (blank) | No reverse-flow valve (the default). |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

On paint and coating booths where atomizing headers run at reduced pressure, this low-pressure-type filter regulator sets and holds the header supply while the 5 um element keeps fine nozzle passages clear of particulate.
A single GFR600-20G at the loom air drop filters moisture and grit from the mill air line and lets the setter dial in the jet pressure, with the psi round gauge giving a direct local readout at the machine.
Feeding a bank of air clamps on an assembly fixture, this unit conditions the supply with 5 um filtration, holds the clamp pressure steady through the cycle, and its differential-pressure drain clears condensate without a manual blow-down stop.
Step up or down through the GFR sizes (200/300/400/600) to match the port and the flow your line needs; size 600 with the 3/4 in port sits at the top of the range for higher-demand circuits. Choose the 5 um element (this model, code W) when downstream equipment needs finer filtration than the 40 um standard. Drain options are differential-pressure (default, as fitted here), automatic (code A) or manual (code M). Gauges: an embedded square gauge is standard, with an external round gauge optional, in MPa, psi or bar scales - this unit ships with the round gauge in psi. Thread: PT is the standard; G (BSPP, as on this model) and NPT are catalogue options to order. Brackets are optional on GFR. Flow for the series is published as curves, not a single rating, so ask us to confirm sizing against your application before ordering.
Quick checklist
The aluminium-alloy bowl on the GFR600 suits harsher environments than a PC bowl. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR series as curves, not as a single rated figure, so we do not quote a number here. Tell us your application and we will confirm the flow and sizing figures from the datasheet on request before you order.
W is the filter-grade code: 5 um filtration instead of the 40 um standard element. Choose it when downstream valves, cylinders or instruments need finer protection from particulate; the 40 um element remains available on other GFR configurations.
