The AirTAC GFR600-25 AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT1 Low-Pressure is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 5 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT1" ports, a automatic drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR600-25 is a filter regulator: it removes water and particulate from compressed air and regulates downstream pressure in a single body. This size 600 unit is specified with a 1 in NPT port, a fine 5 um filter element (code W, versus the 40 um standard), an automatic drain that expels collected condensate without manual attention, and a low-pressure regulator type. The embedded square gauge is fitted with a bar scale, and a reverse/check valve is included. The aluminium alloy bowl is standard at this size. Maximum inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi) and the working temperature range is -5 to 70 C, non-freezing.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR series is available in sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with port sizes from 1/8 in to 1 in, a choice of differential-pressure, automatic or manual drain, 40 um or 5 um filtration, standard or low-pressure regulation, square or external round gauges with MPa, psi or bar scales, and PT, G or NPT threads. Because flow is published as curves rather than a single rating, we confirm flow and datasheet figures for your application on request.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. The low-pressure type adjusts over a lower band than standard; we confirm the exact figures from the factory datasheet. Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.
| GFR600 | G-series filter regulator, 600 body — sets the port range. |
|---|---|
| 25 | Port size PT1". This body offers 20 = PT3/4", 25 = PT1". |
| A | Drain: Automatic drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi)). |
| L | Low-pressure type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |
| J | Supplied without bracket. |
| (blank) | Pressure gauge fitted (blank). |
| F | Gauge shape: Square. C is round, F is square. |
| 3 | Gauge scale: bar. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| W | Filtering grade 5 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| T | NPT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| K | Reverse-flow (reflux) valve fitted. |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Feeds and regulates the air supply to fixture clamps and workholding cylinders on a CNC machining centre, with 5 um filtration protecting the clamp valves and the automatic drain keeping condensate out of the circuit.
Conditions the air feeding grippers, diverters and carton-forming cylinders on a packaging line, combining filtration and low-pressure regulation in one body at the 1 in main-feed size.
Installed at the air drop serving an assembly cell, it filters the shop supply to 5 um and holds a stable low working pressure for air tools and small actuators, with the check valve holding downstream pressure if the supply dips.
Size 600 with a 1 in port is the largest step in the GFR range, so size it against the air demand of the line it feeds; we can check the published flow curves against your consumption before you order. The 5 um element (code W) suits downstream equipment that needs finer filtration than the 40 um standard. The automatic drain handles condensate removal on its own, which is useful where bowls are mounted in awkward or unattended positions. The low-pressure regulator type is the right choice where the circuit works below the standard regulator's range; the exact adjustment range for this type is not published, so ask us to confirm it. The square gauge is fitted with a bar scale; MPa and psi scales and an external round gauge are catalogue options. The thread here is NPT; PT (standard) and G are order options. This configuration has no mounting bracket (code J).
Quick checklist
The aluminium-alloy bowl on the GFR600 suits harsher environments than a PC bowl. The reflux valve permits reverse flow through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR series as curves, not as a single rated figure, so we do not quote a number here. Tell us your line's air demand and working pressure and we will confirm the sizing from the datasheet on request before you order.
The automatic drain (code A) ejects collected condensate by itself, so the bowl does not need manual draining - useful for unattended or hard-to-reach installations. The 5 um element (code W) gives finer filtration than the 40 um standard, which suits downstream valves and actuators that need cleaner air. Both are decodable choices in this code.
