The AirTAC GFR60020AJF2W AirTAC Filter Regulator PT3/4, 5 um is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 5 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT3/4" ports, a automatic drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The GFR60020AJF2W is an AirTAC GFR600 filter regulator: one body that removes water and particulate from compressed air and regulates downstream pressure. This size 600 unit has PT3/4 ports, a 5 um filter element (the finer of the two published grades), an automatic drain that expels collected condensate without manual attention, and a fitted embedded square gauge reading in psi. The outlet pressure is adjustable over 0.15-0.9 MPa (20-130 psi) with a maximum inlet pressure of 1.0 MPa (145 psi), and the aluminium alloy bowl is the material used at size 600. Operating temperature is -5 to 70 C (non-freezing). This configuration is ordered without a mounting bracket.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR filter-regulator family is available in sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with port sizes from 1/8 to 1 inch, a choice of differential-pressure, automatic or manual drain, 40 um standard or 5 um filtration, square or round gauges with MPa, psi or bar scales, PT, G or NPT threads, and optional brackets. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rating, so ask us to confirm the datasheet figures for your application.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.
| GFR600 | G-series filter regulator, 600 body — sets the port range. |
|---|---|
| 20 | Port size PT3/4". This body offers 20 = PT3/4", 25 = PT1". |
| A | Drain: Automatic drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi)). |
| (blank) | Standard type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |
| J | Supplied without bracket. |
| (blank) | Pressure gauge fitted (blank). |
| F | Gauge shape: Square. C is round, F is square. |
| 2 | Gauge scale: psi. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| W | Filtering grade 5 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| (blank) | PT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| (blank) | No reverse-flow valve (the default). |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

On a machine shop air drop feeding a CNC machining centre, the unit filters water and swarf-carrying particulate from the shop air at 5 um and holds a steady regulated pressure to the machine's pneumatic valves and clamps, with the automatic drain clearing condensate between shifts.
On an automotive paint shop supply line serving spray stations, the 5 um element strips water and pipe-scale that would otherwise blemish finish work, while the regulator holds the consistent pressure the spray guns and air-actuated equipment need; the psi gauge gives operators a local reading.
On a packaging line where pneumatic cylinders drive pushers and diverters along the conveyor, the unit delivers filtered, regulated air to the valve manifold, and the automatic drain keeps condensate out of the cylinders without requiring an operator to visit the drain point.
Start with the port step: size 600 with PT3/4 ports sits at the top of the GFR range, so match it against the air demand of the circuit it feeds. Choose the drain to suit access: automatic drain (this unit) suits installations that are not checked daily, manual drain suits attended points, and the differential-pressure default drains on a pressure drop. Choose the 5 um element over the 40 um standard where downstream equipment needs finer filtration. Gauge scale (psi here; MPa and bar available) and thread (PT standard, G or NPT to order) are specified at ordering, as is the bracket.
Because flow is published as curves and not as a single rated figure, ask us to confirm sizing against your application before ordering.
Quick checklist
The aluminium-alloy bowl on the GFR600 suits harsher environments than a PC bowl. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR series as curves rather than a single rated figure, so we do not quote a rated flow number. Tell us your application and required flow, and we will confirm the sizing against the manufacturer's datasheet on request before you order.
The A in the model code specifies an automatic drain, which expels collected condensate without manual attention - useful where the unit is installed in an unattended position. The GFR family is also available with a manual drain or with the differential-pressure drain as the default; with the automatic or differential-pressure drain the regulation range is 0.15-0.9 MPa (20-130 psi).
