The AirTAC GFR60020G AirTAC Filter Regulator 3/4in G 5um Auto Drain is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 5 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT3/4" ports, a automatic drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR60020G is a filter regulator: it removes water and particulate from compressed air and regulates downstream pressure in a single body. This 600-size unit is built around a 3/4 in G (BSPP) port and carries the 5 um filter element (code W) for finer filtration than the standard 40 um grade. The automatic drain (code A) expels collected condensate without manual attention, and the fitted reverse/check valve (code K) holds downstream pressure if the upstream supply drops. The round external gauge is fitted with a psi scale, and the aluminium alloy bowl (standard on size 600) suits demanding industrial environments. Maximum inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi); the regulator adjusts from 0.15 to 0.9 MPa (20-130 psi); operating temperature is -5 to 70 C, non-freezing.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR family spans sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with ports from 1/8 in to 1 in, a choice of automatic, manual or differential-pressure drains, 40 um or 5 um elements, gauge styles and MPa/psi/bar scales, and G, NPT or PT threads. We confirm flow and datasheet figures on request - flow for this family is published as curves rather than a single rated number.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.
| GFR600 | G-series filter regulator, 600 body — sets the port range. |
|---|---|
| 20 | Port size PT3/4". This body offers 20 = PT3/4", 25 = PT1". |
| A | Drain: Automatic drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi)). |
| (blank) | Standard type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |
| (blank) | Mounting bracket included. |
| (blank) | Pressure gauge fitted (blank). |
| C | Gauge shape: Round. C is round, F is square. |
| 2 | Gauge scale: psi. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| W | Filtering grade 5 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| G | G (BSPP) thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| K | Reverse-flow (reflux) valve fitted. |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Installed on a 3/4 in branch off the main plant air header, it filters the supply to 5 um and sets a stable working pressure for the downstream tools and cylinders on that line, while the automatic drain keeps condensate off the circuit during continuous shifts.
Feeding the valve manifold and actuators of a robotic assembly cell, the unit delivers clean, regulated air at the pressure the cell was engineered for, and the fitted check valve holds the circuit's pressure if the upstream supply is interrupted mid-cycle.
Mounted ahead of large pneumatic ball-valve actuators or process control panels, it conditions the air to 5 um and holds the set pressure the actuator sizing assumes, with the psi gauge giving operators a direct local reading of the setpoint.
Size and port come first: the 600 size with its 3/4 in G port is the right step when the branch line and expected air demand sit above what 1/2 in and smaller units comfortably serve - match the port to your piping and let us confirm the flow curve against your consumption before ordering. This configuration is already specified with the 5 um element (finer than the 40 um standard), automatic drain, round psi gauge and check valve. If you would rather drain bowls by hand or by differential pressure, or prefer a square embedded gauge with an MPa or bar scale, those are orderable variants in the same family. Thread alternatives are NPT and PT; a mounting bracket is included.
One honest note on sizing: AirTAC publishes flow for this family as curves, not as a single rated figure, so we do not quote a flow number here. Send us your application details and we will confirm the correct size from the datasheet before you order.
Quick checklist
The aluminium-alloy bowl on the GFR600 suits harsher environments than a PC bowl. The reflux valve permits reverse flow through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR family as performance curves rather than a single rated figure, so we do not state a l/min, m3/h or SCFM number on the page. Send us your line pressure, set pressure and air consumption and we will confirm the sizing from the datasheet on request before you order.
The A in the code specifies the automatic drain, which expels collected condensate on its own instead of waiting for a manual bowl drain - useful on lines that run unattended. The K specifies a reverse/check valve, which holds downstream pressure if the supply side drops. Both are orderable choices: manual and differential-pressure drains, and units without the check valve, exist in the same GFR600 family, as do 40 um elements and square MPa/bar gauges.
