GFR60020MC2 AirTAC Filter Regulator PT3/4, 40 um

The AirTAC GFR60020MC2 AirTAC Filter Regulator PT3/4, 40 um is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT3/4" ports, a manual drain and regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.

About the GFR60020MC2 AirTAC Filter Regulator PT3/4, 40 um

The GFR60020MC2 is an AirTAC GFR600 filter regulator, a single-body unit that removes water and particulate from compressed air and regulates downstream pressure in one assembly. This size 600 configuration has PT3/4 ports, a 40 um filtration element, a manual drain on the bowl and a fitted round pressure gauge reading in psi. The regulator is the standard type with an adjustment range of 0.05-0.9 MPa (7-130 psi), and maximum working (inlet) pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi). Because this is the 600 size, the bowl is aluminium alloy, and the unit is supplied with a mounting bracket.

This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR series is available in sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with port sizes from 1/8" to 1", and options include automatic or differential-pressure drains, a 5 um filter element (code W), square or round gauges with MPa, psi or bar scales, G (BSPP) or NPT threads, and low-pressure or reverse-valve variants. Flow figures are published as curves rather than a single rating, so ask us to confirm the datasheet for your application.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Where the GFR60020MC2 AirTAC Filter Regulator PT3/4, 40 um Is Used

precision_manufacturing

CNC machining cell air preparation

Filtered and regulated air for pneumatic clamps, tool-change cylinders and chip-clearing blasts on a machining centre, with the psi gauge giving operators a local pressure readout at the cell.

factory

Bottling and filling line actuation

Clean, pressure-controlled air for filler heads, capping heads and gripper cylinders on a beverage line, with the manual drain suited to a scheduled end-of-shift maintenance routine.

conveyor_belt

Packaging conveyor diverters and stoppers

Stable regulated air for stopper gates, pusher diverters and vacuum-assisted pick points along a carton conveyor, keeping actuator speed consistent as line demand changes.

Is the GFR60020MC2 AirTAC Filter Regulator PT3/4, 40 um the Right Unit?

Start with the port and size step: 600 is the largest GFR size, here with PT3/4 ports, and the right step depends on the air demand of the circuit downstream - ask us to check sizing against the published flow curves before ordering. Choose the drain to suit access: this unit has a manual drain, which needs periodic draining by hand; automatic and differential-pressure drains are available on other GFR codes. The standard element is 40 um; specify code W for 5 um where finer filtration is needed. Gauges can be the embedded square type or an external round gauge, with MPa, psi or bar scales - this code carries a round psi gauge. Thread is PT as standard, with G (BSPP) and NPT available to order, and a mounting bracket is included.

Quick checklist

  • ✓ Body size for your peak flow (PT3/4" here)
  • ✓ Element 40 µm or 5 µm
  • ✓ Drain sets the regulating band
  • ✓ Gauge fitted, shape and scale
  • ✓ Thread PT, G (BSPP) or NPT
  • ✓ Oil needed downstream? Use GFC instead

Installation & Maintenance Notes

  • check Mount vertically, bowl down, following the airflow arrow.
  • check One body does the filtering and the regulating — no separate regulator needed.
  • check Keep inlet pressure at or below 1.0 MPa (145 psi).
  • check Adjust only within 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi).
  • check Drain condensate before the bowl fills.
  • check Keep the unit above freezing (-5 to +70 °C, unfreeze).

The aluminium-alloy bowl on the GFR600 suits harsher environments than a PC bowl. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.

GFR60020MC2 AirTAC Filter Regulator PT3/4, 40 um FAQ

AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR series as curves rather than a single rated figure, so we do not quote a rated flow, Cv or SCFM number. Send us your application details and we will confirm the flow and datasheet figures for this unit on request before you order.

The M in GFR60020MC2 specifies a manual drain, so accumulated water must be drained from the aluminium bowl by hand at intervals. If you prefer automatic or differential-pressure drainage, those drain options are available on other GFR600 codes - ask us for the matching model.
