GR300-08 AirTAC Air Pressure Regulator G1/4

The AirTAC GR300-08 AirTAC Air Pressure Regulator G1/4 is a genuine G-series air pressure regulator. It holds a stable downstream pressure over the range 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi) with PT1/4" ports, and ships with a pressure gauge. A regulator does not filter the air — put a GF filter upstream, or use a GFR filter regulator, when water and particulate must also be removed.

About the GR300-08 AirTAC Air Pressure Regulator G1/4

The GR300-08 is an AirTAC GR-series air pressure regulator for compressed air, built to hold a steady downstream pressure from a variable supply. This unit is the size-300 body with a G1/4 (1/4 in) port, G (BSPP) thread, the standard (non low-pressure) regulator type, and an external round pressure gauge with a psi scale fitted. It adjusts across 0.05-0.9 MPa (7-130 psi), tolerates a maximum inlet pressure of 1.0 MPa (145 psi), and operates from -20 to 70 C - a wider temperature window than the rest of the G-series families. As a pure regulator it performs no filtration and no lubrication; pair it with a GF filter upstream if the line needs both.

This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GR family spans sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with ports from 1/8 in to 1 in, and can be ordered with a square embedded gauge or a round external gauge in MPa, psi or bar scales, a low-pressure type (up to 0.4 MPa), a reverse/check valve, a mounting bracket, and PT, G or NPT threads. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rated figure, so ask us to confirm the datasheet and sizing for your application before ordering.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. Note the GR temperature range is -20 to +70 °C, wider than the other G-series units. A regulator has no bowl and no filter element, so there is no filtering grade. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

CGauge shape: Round. C is round, F is square.
2Gauge scale: psi. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar.
GG (BSPP) thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT.
(blank)No reverse-flow valve (the default).

Field order is size, port, type, bracket, gauge, gauge shape, scale, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GR300-08LNK is a 300 body, PT1/4", low-pressure type, no gauge, with reflux valve.

Size Class

  • GR300PT1/4" - PT1/2"
  • GR400PT3/8" - PT1/2"
  • GR600PT3/4" - PT1"

A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom rather than from a single rated figure.

Where the GR300-08 AirTAC Air Pressure Regulator G1/4 Is Used

precision_manufacturing

Pneumatic press actuation line

Set a stable downstream pressure feeding the air cylinder on a bench or C-frame press so forming and staking strokes stay repeatable, with the round psi gauge letting the operator verify setpoint at a glance.

settings_input_component

Packaging machine actuator supply

Regulate the branch feeding grippers, clampers and diverters on a cartoning or case-packing line, keeping actuator forces consistent as the main header pressure wanders through the shift.

valve

Process valve actuation station

Trim the supply to a pneumatic valve actuator or positioner on a process skid, holding the exact seat-loading pressure the valve vendor specifies, with the psi-scaled gauge matching the plant's instrument convention.

Is the GR300-08 AirTAC Air Pressure Regulator G1/4 the Right Regulator?

Choose the GR size by the port and flow step your line needs: 200, 300, 400 or 600, with larger sizes carrying larger ports (this unit steps up to 1/4 in). Set the downstream pressure anywhere in the 0.05-0.9 MPa (7-130 psi) range; if your circuit runs below that, the L low-pressure variant (up to 0.4 MPa) is the decodable alternative. Pick the gauge that suits your operators - embedded square or external round, scaled in MPa, psi or bar (this unit ships with a round psi gauge). Thread is PT as standard with G and NPT as order options; this unit is specified in G. A mounting bracket is optional (this unit is ordered without one), and GR can also be panel-mounted. A K-suffix adds a reverse/check valve where backflow protection is wanted. Because flow is published as curves, not a single rating, ask us to confirm sizing against your application before ordering.

Quick checklist

  • ✓ Body size for your peak flow (PT1/4" here)
  • ✓ Standard 0.9 MPa or low-pressure 0.4 MPa
  • ✓ Gauge fitted, or order N without
  • ✓ Gauge shape C round / F square
  • ✓ Scale MPa (1), psi (2) or bar (3)
  • ✓ Reflux valve needed, order K

Installation & Maintenance Notes

  • check Install downstream of the filter, following the airflow arrow.
  • check Keep inlet pressure at or below 1.0 MPa (145 psi).
  • check Set pressure while air is flowing, then lock the knob.
  • check Adjust within 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi) only.
  • check Operating range -20 to +70 °C.
  • check Panel-mount or use the fixing bracket; do not hang it on tubing.

Without a reflux valve, air cannot flow back through the regulator — order the K option if reverse flow is required. A regulator does not remove water or particulate; that is the filter's job.

GR300-08 AirTAC Air Pressure Regulator G1/4 FAQ

AirTAC publishes GR regulator flow as curves, not as a single rated figure, so we do not quote a rated flow, Cv or SCFM number. Tell us your line pressure, set pressure and expected air demand and we will confirm the correct size from the datasheet on request before you order.

This unit is ordered with an external round gauge scaled in psi; the GR series can alternatively be ordered with an embedded square gauge, and gauge scales are available in MPa, psi or bar. The thread here is G (BSPP); PT is the standard thread across the series, with G and NPT as catalogue options to order. A mounting bracket is optional and this unit is ordered without one.
