The AirTAC GR400-15 AirTAC Air Pressure Regulator PT1/2 Low-Pressure is a genuine G-series air pressure regulator. It holds a stable downstream pressure over the range 0.05 - 0.4 MPa (7 - 58 psi) with PT1/2" ports, and ships with a pressure gauge. A regulator does not filter the air — put a GF filter upstream, or use a GFR filter regulator, when water and particulate must also be removed.
The GR400-15 is a genuine AirTAC GR-series air pressure regulator: it does one job, holding a stable downstream air pressure, and nothing else. There is no filter and no bowl in this unit, so it is fitted after filtration where one is needed. This is the low-pressure type (code L), with an adjustment range up to 0.4 MPa, sized 400 with a PT1/2 (1/2 in) PT-threaded port. It is supplied with an external round pressure gauge reading in psi, and a reverse/check valve (code K) is fitted so downstream pressure is held if the upstream supply drops. Maximum working (inlet) pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi), and the working temperature range is -20 to 70 C, wider than the rest of the G family.
The GR400 series is the 400 size of AirTAC's GR regulator line, with 300, 600 and smaller sizes available in the same family, plus standard-type variants, gauge and scale options, and PT, G (BSPP) or NPT threads to order. As a distributor we sell genuine AirTAC parts; flow figures for this series are published as curves rather than a single rating, so ask us and we will confirm the datasheet figures against your application before you order.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. Note the GR temperature range is -20 to +70 °C, wider than the other G-series units. A regulator has no bowl and no filter element, so there is no filtering grade. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.
| GR400 | G-series pressure regulator, 400 body — sets the port range. |
|---|---|
| 15 | Port size PT1/2". This body offers 10 = PT3/8", 15 = PT1/2". |
| L | Low-pressure type — 0.05 - 0.4 MPa (7 - 58 psi). Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |
| (blank) | Fixing bracket included. |
| (blank) | Pressure gauge fitted (blank). |
| C | Gauge shape: Round. C is round, F is square. |
| 2 | Gauge scale: psi. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| (blank) | PT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| K | Reverse-flow (reflux) valve fitted. |
Field order is size, port, type, bracket, gauge, gauge shape, scale, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GR300-08LNK is a 300 body, PT1/4", low-pressure type, no gauge, with reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom rather than from a single rated figure.

Finishing lines run atomising air at modest, closely held pressures. This low-pressure GR400-15 regulates a 1/2 in branch down to the setpoint the spray equipment needs, with the psi gauge giving the operator a direct readout at the booth.
Carton sealers, case packers and labelers use light pneumatic hold-down and clamping cylinders that work best at low pressure. The GR400-15 gives that circuit its own 1/2 in regulated supply, and the check valve holds the setting if the main air dips.
Blow-off and air-knife manifolds on web and textile lines are typically fed at low pressure from a dedicated branch. A GR400-15 at the branch inlet regulates that 1/2 in feed independently of the main header, with the round gauge letting operators verify the setting in psi.
Choose GR400 when your line needs a 1/2 in regulated supply and your working pressure sits at or below 0.4 MPa - that is what the low-pressure (L) type is set up for; if you need to regulate higher, the standard-type GR is the variant to ask about. The round psi gauge on this configuration suits US-market panels; square embedded gauges and MPa or bar scales are the other catalogue options. The fitted check valve (K) is worth keeping if a dropped supply must not dump your set pressure. Port thread here is PT, the standard; G (BSPP) and NPT are order options if your pipework needs them, and the unit is bracket-mountable and panel-mountable.
One honest note on sizing: AirTAC publishes GR flow as curves, not a single rated number, so the right size depends on where your demand sits on the 400-size curve. Send us your flow and pressure targets and we will confirm the datasheet figures before you commit.
Quick checklist
The reflux valve lets air flow back through the regulator, which is useful when downstream volume must vent quickly. A regulator does not remove water or particulate; that is the filter's job.
AirTAC publishes GR-series flow as performance curves rather than a single rated figure, so we do not quote one number. Tell us your required flow and working pressure and we will confirm the datasheet curve data for the 400 size against your application before you order.
The L in GR40015LC2K is the low-pressure type code: its adjustment range tops out at 0.4 MPa. Inlet pressure can still be up to 1.0 MPa (145 psi). If your setpoint needs to go higher, ask for the standard-type GR in the same size - the decode choices (gauge, check valve, thread) carry across.
