GR40010NTK AirTAC Air Pressure Regulator NPT3/8

The AirTAC GR40010NTK AirTAC Air Pressure Regulator NPT3/8 is a genuine G-series air pressure regulator. It holds a stable downstream pressure over the range 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi) with PT3/8" ports, ordered without a gauge. A regulator does not filter the air — put a GF filter upstream, or use a GFR filter regulator, when water and particulate must also be removed.

About the GR40010NTK AirTAC Air Pressure Regulator NPT3/8

The GR40010NTK is an AirTAC GR-series air pressure regulator: it does one job, holding a stable downstream pressure from your compressed-air supply, and it contains no filter element and no bowl. This 400-size unit is decoded with a 3/8 in NPT port, the standard regulator type with a 0.05-0.9 MPa (7-130 psi) adjustment range, and a maximum inlet pressure of 1.0 MPa (145 psi). The K in the code means a reverse (check) valve is fitted, so downstream pressure is held if the upstream supply is lost. No gauge is fitted in this configuration (N code), and a mounting bracket is included; the GR series is also panel-mountable. Its operating temperature range is -20 to 70 C, wider than the rest of the G family.

This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GR series is offered in sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with port sizes from 1/8 to 1 in, in PT (standard), G and NPT threads, with or without a gauge, with an optional low-pressure type (up to 0.4 MPa), and with an optional reverse valve. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rated figure, so ask us and we will confirm the datasheet figures for your application on request.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. Note the GR temperature range is -20 to +70 °C, wider than the other G-series units. A regulator has no bowl and no filter element, so there is no filtering grade. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

Model Code: GR40010NTK AirTAC Air Pressure Regulator NPT3/8

GR400G-series pressure regulator, 400 body — sets the port range.
10Port size PT3/8". This body offers 10 = PT3/8", 15 = PT1/2".
(blank)Standard type — 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi). Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type.
(blank)Fixing bracket included.
NNo pressure gauge (N).
(blank)Gauge shape: Factory standard. C is round, F is square.
(blank)Gauge scale: Factory standard. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar.
TNPT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT.
KReverse-flow (reflux) valve fitted.

Field order is size, port, type, bracket, gauge, gauge shape, scale, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GR300-08LNK is a 300 body, PT1/4", low-pressure type, no gauge, with reflux valve.

Size Class

  • GR200PT1/8" - PT1/4"
  • GR300PT1/4" - PT1/2"
  • GR400PT3/8" - PT1/2"
  • GR600PT3/4" - PT1"

A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom rather than from a single rated figure.

Where the GR40010NTK AirTAC Air Pressure Regulator NPT3/8 Is Used

valve

Pneumatic press line setpoint control

Set and hold the working pressure feeding a pneumatic press or clamping cylinder on a fabrication line, with the check valve holding the setpoint if the upstream supply drops.

precision_manufacturing

Packaging machine actuator supply

Regulate the supply pressure to cylinders and actuators on a cartoning or wrapping machine, keeping seal and forming motions consistent at a fixed downstream pressure.

settings_input_component

Distribution manifold branch regulation

Drop plant air to a lower, stable pressure on individual branches of a distribution manifold feeding valves and air tools, independent of what the other branches draw.

Is the GR40010NTK AirTAC Air Pressure Regulator NPT3/8 the Right Regulator?

Size the GR by the port step against the air demand of the circuit: 200 (1/8-1/4 in), 300 (3/8-1/2 in), 400 (1/2-3/4 in) and 600 (1 in) - this unit is a 400 with a 3/8 in NPT port. Choose the thread to match your plumbing: PT is the standard, while G (BSPP) and NPT are catalogue options ordered by suffix (this unit is NPT). Decide whether you want a gauge fitted and, if so, which style and scale (square embedded or external round; MPa, psi or bar) - the N in this code means no gauge is supplied, so add one separately if you need a local pressure readout. The K code here means a reverse (check) valve is fitted; order without it if you do not need downstream pressure retention. If your set pressure never exceeds 0.4 MPa, the L low-pressure type is available. A mounting bracket is included with this unit. Because flow is published as curves rather than a single rating, ask us to confirm sizing against your application before ordering.

Quick checklist

  • ✓ Body size for your peak flow (PT3/8" here)
  • ✓ Standard 0.9 MPa or low-pressure 0.4 MPa
  • ✓ Gauge fitted, or order N without
  • ✓ Gauge shape C round / F square
  • ✓ Scale MPa (1), psi (2) or bar (3)
  • ✓ Reflux valve needed, order K

Installation & Maintenance Notes

  • check Install downstream of the filter, following the airflow arrow.
  • check Keep inlet pressure at or below 1.0 MPa (145 psi).
  • check Set pressure while air is flowing, then lock the knob.
  • check Adjust within 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi) only.
  • check Operating range -20 to +70 °C.
  • check Panel-mount or use the fixing bracket; do not hang it on tubing.

The reflux valve lets air flow back through the regulator, which is useful when downstream volume must vent quickly. A regulator does not remove water or particulate; that is the filter's job.

GR40010NTK AirTAC Air Pressure Regulator NPT3/8 FAQ

AirTAC publishes GR-series flow as performance curves rather than a single rated figure, so we do not quote a rated flow, Cv or SCFM number. Send us your application details and we will confirm the datasheet flow figures for the 400 size at your operating conditions on request.

N means no pressure gauge is fitted, so add a gauge (square embedded or external round, in MPa, psi or bar scale) if you want a local readout. K means a reverse (check) valve is fitted, which holds downstream pressure if the upstream supply is interrupted. The unit otherwise carries the standard 0.05-0.9 MPa adjustment range, a 3/8 in NPT port, an included mounting bracket, and a -20 to 70 C operating range.
