GR40015JNTK AirTAC Air Pressure Regulator NPT1/2

The AirTAC GR40015JNTK AirTAC Air Pressure Regulator NPT1/2 is a genuine G-series air pressure regulator. It holds a stable downstream pressure over the range 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi) with PT1/2" ports, ordered without a gauge. A regulator does not filter the air — put a GF filter upstream, or use a GFR filter regulator, when water and particulate must also be removed.

About the GR40015JNTK AirTAC Air Pressure Regulator NPT1/2

The GR40015JNTK is an AirTAC GR-series air pressure regulator: its only job is to hold a stable downstream pressure from your compressed-air supply. This size 400 unit carries a 1/2 in NPT port, is the standard (not low-pressure) type, and adjusts across 0.05-0.9 MPa (7-130 psi). It ships without a gauge (code N) and without a mounting bracket (code J), and the K code means a reverse/check valve is fitted so downstream pressure is held if the upstream supply drops.

This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GR family spans sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with port sizes from 1/8 in to 1 in, optional G (BSPP) or NPT threads in place of the PT standard, optional gauges, brackets and check valves. GR also runs -20 to 70 C, wider than the rest of the G series. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rating, so ask us and we will confirm the datasheet figures for your application.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. Note the GR temperature range is -20 to +70 °C, wider than the other G-series units. A regulator has no bowl and no filter element, so there is no filtering grade. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

GR400G-series pressure regulator, 400 body — sets the port range.
15Port size PT1/2". This body offers 10 = PT3/8", 15 = PT1/2".
(blank)Standard type — 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi). Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type.
JSupplied without bracket.
NNo pressure gauge (N).
(blank)Gauge shape: Factory standard. C is round, F is square.
(blank)Gauge scale: Factory standard. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar.
TNPT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT.
KReverse-flow (reflux) valve fitted.

Field order is size, port, type, bracket, gauge, gauge shape, scale, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GR300-08LNK is a 300 body, PT1/4", low-pressure type, no gauge, with reflux valve.

Size Class

  • GR300PT1/4" - PT1/2"
  • GR400PT3/8" - PT1/2"
  • GR600PT3/4" - PT1"

A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom rather than from a single rated figure.

Where the GR40015JNTK AirTAC Air Pressure Regulator NPT1/2 Is Used

precision_manufacturing

Pneumatic press circuit supply

On a bench or C-frame pneumatic press, the regulator sets and holds the working pressure to the cylinder so forming and staking forces stay repeatable from stroke to stroke. The 1/2 in NPT port drops straight into the main drop line at the press, and the check valve keeps the circuit charged if the shop supply dips mid-cycle.

Packaging machine actuator air

Carton sealers, case packers and bagging machines run clusters of small cylinders and air actuators off one branch. A regulator at the branch inlet gives the machine a set pressure independent of the main header, and the -20 to 70 C operating range covers unheated corners of a packaging hall.

Plant air drop for assembly cells

At an assembly cell fed from a plant air header, this regulator lets each station run its own set pressure - torque tools, clamps and pick-and-place grippers each get what they need without touching the header setting. Panel mounting the body keeps the adjustment point accessible at the cell.

Is the GR40015JNTK AirTAC Air Pressure Regulator NPT1/2 the Right Regulator?

Start with the port step: size 400 with a 1/2 in port suits lines plumbed at 1/2 in, and larger sizes carry more flow - match the size to the air demand of the circuit rather than oversizing on guesswork. Because flow is published as curves and not a single rated figure, ask us to confirm sizing against your application before ordering. Then settle the options: this unit has no gauge fitted, so add one if operators need to read the set pressure (square embedded or external round, with MPa, psi or bar scale); choose PT, G or NPT thread to match your piping - this unit is NPT; and decide on a bracket, which this configuration omits, noting GR is also panel-mountable. The fitted reverse/check valve (K) is worth keeping on circuits where a supply drop must not dump downstream pressure.

Quick checklist

  • ✓ Body size for your peak flow (PT1/2" here)
  • ✓ Standard 0.9 MPa or low-pressure 0.4 MPa
  • ✓ Gauge fitted, or order N without
  • ✓ Gauge shape C round / F square
  • ✓ Scale MPa (1), psi (2) or bar (3)
  • ✓ Reflux valve needed, order K

Installation & Maintenance Notes

  • check Install downstream of the filter, following the airflow arrow.
  • check Keep inlet pressure at or below 1.0 MPa (145 psi).
  • check Set pressure while air is flowing, then lock the knob.
  • check Adjust within 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi) only.
  • check Operating range -20 to +70 °C.
  • check Panel-mount or use the fixing bracket; do not hang it on tubing.

The reflux valve lets air flow back through the regulator, which is useful when downstream volume must vent quickly. A regulator does not remove water or particulate; that is the filter's job.

GR40015JNTK AirTAC Air Pressure Regulator NPT1/2 FAQ

AirTAC publishes regulator flow as performance curves, not as a single rated number, so there is no one figure we can honestly quote. Tell us your inlet pressure, set pressure and the air demand of the circuit, and we will confirm the flow from the datasheet curves on request before you order.

N means no pressure gauge is fitted, so add a gauge (embedded square or external round, with MPa, psi or bar scale) if operators need to read the set pressure. K means a reverse/check valve is fitted, so downstream pressure is held if the upstream supply is lost. This unit also has no mounting bracket (J) and uses NPT threads (T) instead of the PT standard.
