AirTAC MBLCD Series Double-Rod Cushioned Mini Cylinders

The MBLCD series is the double-rod, adjustable-air-cushion version of the AirTAC MBL aluminum-barrel mini round cylinder. A rod exits both ends, providing equal push and pull force along with inherent anti-rotation resistance. A cushion needle at both ends soaks up shock at high speeds, protecting payloads and end-of-stroke components.

The range spans 6 bores: 20, 25, 32, 40, 50 and 63 mm. Standard strokes reach up to 300 mm for bores 20 and 25, and up to 500 mm for bores 32-63. Ports scale from G1/8 on the 20/25/32 mm bores to G1/4 on the 40/50/63 mm bores. Force output at 0.5 MPa spans from about 132 N at bore 20 up to the low-thousand Newtons at bore 63 on the reduced pull-side area.

Shared design features include a riveted rolling-packed aluminum body with aluminum covers and double-acting operation. The series is not ISO 6432 or ISO 15552 compliant. An optional -S magnet supports CMSG, DMSG and EMSG sensors. Unlike the fixed-bumper MBLD, the MBLCD provides tunable end-of-stroke deceleration. Note that the air cushion only decelerates the piston; it does not function as a lock or brake.
