The AirTAC SSA series is the single-acting push variant of the SDA compact thin cylinder line. Pneumatic pressure extends the rod while an internal spring returns it, ensuring a fail-safe retracted state on air loss. It features a space-saving riveted body with C-clip retention rather than a traditional tie-rod or ISO profile.
The range spans 8 bores from 12 to 63mm. Ports scale with size: M5x0.8 for 12-25mm, PT1/8 for 32-40mm, and PT1/4 for 50-63mm. Because it is single-acting, net extend force is the air force minus the return-spring force, which is lower than the double-acting SDA push at the same bore. A minimum pressure is required before motion.
Shared design includes a fixed NBR bumper for end-of-stroke deceleration and standard magnetic-switch grooves for position sensing using -S magnet options. The JIS single-acting push equivalent is ASQ. Choose the SSA when a spring can handle the return motion to save air and a valve position.
