The AirTAC Airtac 3V1 Solenoid Valve 3V106A3F is a genuine 3-port 2-position (3/2) solenoid valve with 1/8 in ports. It either feeds its outlet or vents it to exhaust, which is what makes it the valve for single-acting cylinders, on/off air blow, clamping, vacuum switching and pilot duty.
A 3V106A3F is a bank of three AirTAC 3V1 valves assembled in series: three independent 3/2, direct-acting, spring-return sections sharing one mounting base, each with a 1/8in PT port and a 4.5 VA AC220V coil. In either state a section connects its outlet to supply or to exhaust, which is the control pattern single-acting cylinders, blow jets, clamps and pilot lines all follow.
The direct-acting design starts working from 0 MPa, and the spring guarantees a defined position whenever power is lost. Coils meet IP65 (DIN 40050) and a manual override on each valve speeds up commissioning. Air supply should be filtered to 40 um or finer; lubrication is not required.

Figures follow the official AirTAC 3V1 catalogue. Confirm coil voltage and thread (PT / NPT / G) against the product label before wiring.
| 3V1 | Body — sets the flow, the coil power and whether vacuum is rated. |
|---|---|
| 1/8 in | Port size. M5, 06 = 1/8 in, 08 = 1/4 in, 10 = 3/8 in. |
| AC220V | Coil voltage. A = AC220V, B = DC24V, C = AC110V, E = AC24V, F = DC12V. |
| — | Electrical entry: I = flying lead, otherwise a DIN plug. |
| 3F | 3 stations in one assembly. |
| PT | Port thread. PT ships from stock; G and NPT are available to order. |
A 3/2 valve has three ports — supply, outlet and exhaust — and two states. It either feeds the outlet or vents it to exhaust, and that is the whole job.
That makes it the right valve for a single-acting (spring-return) cylinder, on/off air blow, a clamp, switching a vacuum generator or suction cup, and piloting a larger valve.
It cannot run a double-acting cylinder. A double-acting cylinder needs air alternately on two sides, which takes a 5-port valve — the AirTAC 4V series.
Three spring-return gate or pusher cylinders on a carton line, each switched by its own valve on the shared 3-station base.
Use one 3/2 section to pressurise or vent the actuator line of a larger process valve, piloting it open and closed from the control panel.
Compact actuation of a test-rig loading cylinder or sample clamp at AC220V, with the manual override used while dialling in the fixture.
Before you commit, size in both directions. 3V1 is the entry body of the 3V family with no published Cv, so any flow-critical job should be checked with us first; the 3V2 (1/8in and 1/4in, selectable NC or NO, Cv 0.18-0.19, vacuum rated) and the 3V3 (1/4in, Cv 0.62) both move more air, while the 3V2M exists purely for high-density manifolding. Your 3V106A3F choice already fixes five things: 1/8in port, PT thread (G or NPT remain order options), AC220V coil at 4.5 VA, DIN plug entry, and three ganged stations - the series accepts 1F to 20F if you need a longer bank.
And remember the port count: three ports, two states. A 3V1 feeds or vents one line and is the natural partner of single-acting cylinders; reversing a double-acting cylinder calls for the 5-port AirTAC 4V family.
Confirm before you order
Pressure 0-0.8 MPa (0-114 psi) and -20 to 70 C medium temperature. The AC220V coil is rated 4.5 VA; for reference AC110V is 4.5 VA, AC24V 5.0 VA, DC24V 3.0 W, DC12V 2.5 W. Coils are IP65 (DIN 40050) and the air must pass a 40 um or finer filter. AirTAC publishes no Cv for 3V1 - ask us before sizing on flow.
Each 3/2 section feeds or vents one line, so it suits single-acting spring-return cylinders, on/off air blow, clamping and piloting a larger valve. It cannot reverse a double-acting cylinder - that needs two outlet lines and a 5-port valve from the AirTAC 4V range. No vacuum rating is published for 3V1 either, so do not spec it for negative-pressure duty.
