The AirTAC Airtac 3V1 Solenoid Valve 3V106A5F is a genuine 3-port 2-position (3/2) solenoid valve with 1/8 in ports. It either feeds its outlet or vents it to exhaust, which is what makes it the valve for single-acting cylinders, on/off air blow, clamping, vacuum switching and pilot duty.
The 3V106A5F groups five 3V1 valves in series on one manifold base, replacing five separate 1/8in PT bodies with a single integrated block and freeing panel space. Every valve is a 3/2 direct-acting type: one solenoid, one spring, three ports, two states - it either feeds the outlet or vents it to exhaust.
Spring return repositions each valve whenever coil power drops, and the manual override lets you jog any station during commissioning. The AC220V coil takes 4.5 VA per valve. The assembly comes in one fixed initial state - confirm it on the datasheet before wiring your logic.

Figures follow the official AirTAC 3V1 catalogue. Confirm coil voltage and thread (PT / NPT / G) against the product label before wiring.
| 3V1 | Body — sets the flow, the coil power and whether vacuum is rated. |
|---|---|
| 1/8 in | Port size. M5, 06 = 1/8 in, 08 = 1/4 in, 10 = 3/8 in. |
| AC220V | Coil voltage. A = AC220V, B = DC24V, C = AC110V, E = AC24V, F = DC12V. |
| — | Electrical entry: I = flying lead, otherwise a DIN plug. |
| 5F | 5 stations in one assembly. |
| PT | Port thread. PT ships from stock; G and NPT are available to order. |
A 3/2 valve has three ports — supply, outlet and exhaust — and two states. It either feeds the outlet or vents it to exhaust, and that is the whole job.
That makes it the right valve for a single-acting (spring-return) cylinder, on/off air blow, a clamp, switching a vacuum generator or suction cup, and piloting a larger valve.
It cannot run a double-acting cylinder. A double-acting cylinder needs air alternately on two sides, which takes a 5-port valve — the AirTAC 4V series.
Drives the single-acting sealing jaw cylinder on a small bag-making machine, venting it at the end of each cycle.
A compact injection-moulding control panel uses the 5-station block to fire five single-acting part-ejector pins.
Energises a single-acting stopper cylinder that halts cartons at a sorting gate and releases them on power-off.
Because AirTAC publishes no Cv for the 3V1 body, treat the 5F as a low-power, small-port choice and verify flow with us for critical duties. When a circuit needs more flow, upsize that function to 3V2 (1/8in or 1/4in, selectable NC or NO, Cv 0.18-0.19, vacuum rated) or 3V3 (1/4in, Cv 0.62); where manifold density outranks flow, 3V2M is the alternative. Double-acting cylinders are outside a 3-port valve's job - specify the AirTAC 4V series there.
Before you order, lock down five points: port size (M5 or 1/8in), thread (PT standard on this family, G and NPT available to order), coil voltage, entry style (DIN plug here; flying lead is the -I option), and station count from 1F to 20F.
Confirm before you order
The 5-station block operates at 0-0.8 MPa (0-114 psi) between -20 and 70 C. Coil ratings are AC220V 4.5 VA, AC110V 4.5 VA, AC24V 5.0 VA, DC24V 3.0 W and DC12V 2.5 W; this version is AC220V. Protection is IP65 (DIN 40050) and supply air needs 40 um or finer filtration. AirTAC publishes no Cv or effective area for 3V1, so send us your flow requirement for confirmation.
The DIN plug entry means you wire a separate connector to each of the five 4.5 VA AC220V coils, which simplifies per-station checks and coil replacement. Other 3V1 SKUs use an -I code for a pre-wired flying lead instead. Both styles meet IP65 (DIN 40050) when correctly assembled.
