The AirTAC Airtac 3V1 Solenoid Valve 3V106A6F-AM is a genuine 3-port 2-position (3/2) solenoid valve with 1/8 in ports. It either feeds its outlet or vents it to exhaust, which is what makes it the valve for single-acting cylinders, on/off air blow, clamping, vacuum switching and pilot duty.
The AirTAC 3V106A6F-AM is a six-station manifold assembly of 3/2 direct-acting solenoid valves on a single 1/8in PT base. Each valve feeds or vents one line, so the bank drives single-acting spring-return cylinders, clamps, air-blow nozzles or pilots a larger valve. The -AM suffix denotes a catalogue option; confirm its exact content on the datasheet before ordering.
The AC220V coil draws 4.5 VA and is IP65 rated to DIN 40050, and each station carries a manual override for commissioning. Valves can be integrated in series from one to twenty stations, so this six-way format saves panel drilling and fittings. Air must be filtered through a 40 um or finer element; lubrication is not required. AirTAC 3V1 is supplied in a single fixed initial state - confirm it on the datasheet.

Figures follow the official AirTAC 3V1 catalogue. Confirm coil voltage and thread (PT / NPT / G) against the product label before wiring.
| 3V1 | Body — sets the flow, the coil power and whether vacuum is rated. |
|---|---|
| 1/8 in | Port size. M5, 06 = 1/8 in, 08 = 1/4 in, 10 = 3/8 in. |
| AC220V | Coil voltage. A = AC220V, B = DC24V, C = AC110V, E = AC24V, F = DC12V. |
| — | Electrical entry: I = flying lead, otherwise a DIN plug. |
| 6F | 6 stations in one assembly. |
| PT | Port thread. PT ships from stock; G and NPT are available to order. |
A 3/2 valve has three ports — supply, outlet and exhaust — and two states. It either feeds the outlet or vents it to exhaust, and that is the whole job.
That makes it the right valve for a single-acting (spring-return) cylinder, on/off air blow, a clamp, switching a vacuum generator or suction cup, and piloting a larger valve.
It cannot run a double-acting cylinder. A double-acting cylinder needs air alternately on two sides, which takes a 5-port valve — the AirTAC 4V series.
Cycles the spring-return clamping fingers that index trays on a small pharmaceutical loader, one station per actuator, exhausting instantly on release.
Switches the fill-and-vent line of a laboratory leak-test fixture, venting the part under test the moment the cycle ends.
Drives the six single-acting clamp cylinders on a welding jig, dropping every clamp to the safe position whenever coil power is cut.
3V1 is the smallest, lowest-power body in the AirTAC 3V range, but no Cv or effective area is published for it, so flow-critical duties should be confirmed with us before you commit. If a circuit needs more flow, step up to 3V2 (1/8in and 1/4in, NC or NO selectable, Cv 0.18-0.19, and rated for vacuum) or to 3V3 (1/4in, Cv 0.62). When a dense manifold matters more than flow, 3V2M is the alternative to compare. A double-acting cylinder needs a 5-port valve - send that requirement to the AirTAC 4V series.
Match five points to your build: port (M5 or 1/8in), thread (PT is the standard thread on this family; G and NPT are catalogue options to order), coil voltage, electrical entry (DIN plug or flying lead), and individual valve versus manifold station count. Accessories: 3V1-P30 base set, 3V1-P31 O-ring and long screws, 3V1-P32 bracket set.

Operating pressure 0-0.8 MPa (0-114 psi); media temperature -20 to 70 C; AC220V coil 4.5 VA (other voltages: AC110V 4.5 VA, AC24V 5.0 VA, DC24V 3.0 W, DC12V 2.5 W); protection IP65 to DIN 40050; 3/2 direct-acting, single solenoid, spring return. AirTAC publishes no Cv or effective area for 3V1 - confirm flow with us.
The 3V1 format accepts one to twenty valves mounted in series on a shared base, and this assembly is built with six. Order the exact station count your panel needs; accessories 3V1-P30, 3V1-P31 and 3V1-P32 cover bases, seals and brackets.
