The AirTAC Airtac 3V1 Solenoid Valve 3V106A8F is a genuine 3-port 2-position (3/2) solenoid valve with 1/8 in ports. It either feeds its outlet or vents it to exhaust, which is what makes it the valve for single-acting cylinders, on/off air blow, clamping, vacuum switching and pilot duty.
Eight independently switched 3/2 valves on one shared base: the AirTAC 3V106A8F turns an eight-circuit control task into a single compact manifold block in 1/8in PT. Each station is direct-acting with spring return, feeding or venting its outlet, so it cycles single-acting cylinders, clamp jaws and blow nozzles or pilots a larger valve.
The AC220V coils draw just 4.5 VA each, hold IP65 (DIN 40050), and plug in through DIN connectors for simple swap-out. Station count can run from 1 to 20 in series, so the format grows with the machine. Filter air to 40 um or finer; the valve works without lubrication.

Figures follow the official AirTAC 3V1 catalogue. Confirm coil voltage and thread (PT / NPT / G) against the product label before wiring.
| 3V1 | Body — sets the flow, the coil power and whether vacuum is rated. |
|---|---|
| 1/8 in | Port size. M5, 06 = 1/8 in, 08 = 1/4 in, 10 = 3/8 in. |
| AC220V | Coil voltage. A = AC220V, B = DC24V, C = AC110V, E = AC24V, F = DC12V. |
| — | Electrical entry: I = flying lead, otherwise a DIN plug. |
| 8F | 8 stations in one assembly. |
| PT | Port thread. PT ships from stock; G and NPT are available to order. |
A 3/2 valve has three ports — supply, outlet and exhaust — and two states. It either feeds the outlet or vents it to exhaust, and that is the whole job.
That makes it the right valve for a single-acting (spring-return) cylinder, on/off air blow, a clamp, switching a vacuum generator or suction cup, and piloting a larger valve.
It cannot run a double-acting cylinder. A double-acting cylinder needs air alternately on two sides, which takes a 5-port valve — the AirTAC 4V series.
Fires the eight clamp cylinders of a modular CNC pallet fixture, one station per clamp, all venting together when the cycle aborts.
Pulses the can-purge air jets on a beverage canning line, eight jets governed from one manifold block mounted beside the seamer.
Actuates the spring-return fingers across a palletizer's gripper head, each valve cycling independently to match the pick pattern.
Flow data is the one gap to close before buying: no Cv or effective area is published for 3V1, so confirm any flow-sensitive duty with us first. Where circuits demand more, 3V2 (1/8in and 1/4in, NC or NO selectable, Cv 0.18-0.19, vacuum rated) or 3V3 (1/4in, Cv 0.62) are the natural step-ups, and 3V2M suits dense manifold builds where flow is not the constraint. Double-acting cylinders are out of scope for any 3-port valve - route that need to the AirTAC 4V series.
Lock down five details with your RFQ: port size (M5 or 1/8in), thread (PT as standard; G and NPT are order codes), coil voltage, DIN plug versus flying lead, and the number of manifold stations you need.
Confirm before you order
Yes: 3/2-way, direct-acting, single solenoid with spring return; 0-0.8 MPa (0-114 psi) working pressure; -20 to 70 C media temperature; IP65 to DIN 40050. Coil power: AC220V 4.5 VA, AC110V 4.5 VA, AC24V 5.0 VA, DC24V 3.0 W, DC12V 2.5 W. AirTAC states no Cv or effective area for 3V1, so confirm flow-critical sizing with us.
The 3V1 format mounts one to twenty valves in series, so a panel can grow beyond eight stations by ordering the required manifold assembly. For mounting and sealing, use the 3V1-P30 base set, the 3V1-P31 O-ring and long screws, and the 3V1-P32 bracket set.
