The AirTAC Airtac 3V1 Solenoid Valve 3V106A9F is a genuine 3-port 2-position (3/2) solenoid valve with 1/8 in ports. It either feeds its outlet or vents it to exhaust, which is what makes it the valve for single-acting cylinders, on/off air blow, clamping, vacuum switching and pilot duty.
Nine 3V1 valves arrive built in series on shared manifold bases as the 3V106A9F. Every station is a 3/2, direct-acting, single-solenoid valve with spring return, so each line is either supplied with air or exhausted - the behaviour you want for single-acting cylinders, clamps, blow jets and pilot signals.
Because the nine bodies share supply galleries and fixing screws, piping and panel drilling drop sharply versus nine loose valves. Each AC220V coil needs only 4.5 VA and seats into a DIN plug connector, and a manual override on every valve speeds up dry-cycle testing.

Figures follow the official AirTAC 3V1 catalogue. Confirm coil voltage and thread (PT / NPT / G) against the product label before wiring.
| 3V1 | Body — sets the flow, the coil power and whether vacuum is rated. |
|---|---|
| 1/8 in | Port size. M5, 06 = 1/8 in, 08 = 1/4 in, 10 = 3/8 in. |
| AC220V | Coil voltage. A = AC220V, B = DC24V, C = AC110V, E = AC24V, F = DC12V. |
| — | Electrical entry: I = flying lead, otherwise a DIN plug. |
| 9F | 9 stations in one assembly. |
| PT | Port thread. PT ships from stock; G and NPT are available to order. |
A 3/2 valve has three ports — supply, outlet and exhaust — and two states. It either feeds the outlet or vents it to exhaust, and that is the whole job.
That makes it the right valve for a single-acting (spring-return) cylinder, on/off air blow, a clamp, switching a vacuum generator or suction cup, and piloting a larger valve.
It cannot run a double-acting cylinder. A double-acting cylinder needs air alternately on two sides, which takes a 5-port valve — the AirTAC 4V series.
Nine stations flip diverter gates on a parcel sorting conveyor, sending each package to the correct chute as it passes the scanner.
A 9-station block actuates the hold-down clamps on an electronics test fixture, one valve assigned per circuit zone.
On a laboratory analyser carousel, each station lifts or vents a single-acting probe cylinder in timed sequence.
This 9-station assembly is the compact, low-draw end of the 3V range, but AirTAC quotes no flow coefficient for 3V1, so any flow-dependent duty should be confirmed with us before you commit. Need more through each port? Step up to 3V2 at 1/8in or 1/4in (Cv 0.18-0.19, NC or NO selectable, vacuum capable) or 3V3 at 1/4in (Cv 0.62), or choose 3V2M if packing valves tightly matters more than flow. For double-acting cylinders, the 5-port AirTAC 4V family is the correct destination.
Match five things to your machine: M5 versus 1/8in port, PT (standard) or order-in G/NPT thread, coil voltage, DIN plug versus flying-lead entry, and manifold station count between 1F and 20F.

Pressure range 0-0.8 MPa (0-114 psi); temperature -20 to 70 C; ingress protection IP65 (DIN 40050); filtered air of 40 um or better, with no lubrication needed. The AC220V coil uses 4.5 VA. Across the 3V1 family the other coils rate 4.5 VA (AC110V), 5.0 VA (AC24V), 3.0 W (DC24V) and 2.5 W (DC12V). No flow coefficient is published for 3V1.
The nine 3/2 bodies mount in series on shared bases, so you drill one set of fixing holes, connect one air inlet run and reclaim the panel space nine individual valves would take. Station counts from 1F to 20F are catalogue options, so a smaller or larger block can be ordered. Each valve keeps its own coil connection and manual override.
