The AirTAC Airtac 3V1 Solenoid Valve 3V106B-X1 is a genuine 3-port 2-position (3/2) solenoid valve with 1/8 in ports. It either feeds its outlet or vents it to exhaust, which is what makes it the valve for single-acting cylinders, on/off air blow, clamping, vacuum switching and pilot duty.
This 3V106B-X1 carries the -X1 special-variant suffix on the standard 3V1 body: a 3/2, direct-acting, spring-return valve in the 1/8in PT port with a DC24V coil. Because -X1 codes are factory specials, confirm the exact scope of the variant with us before ordering - the figures we quote are the published 3V1 data.
Air feeding the valve must be filtered to 40 um or finer, and lubrication is not required, which keeps maintenance light. The DC24V coil takes 3.0 W, and the 0-0.8 MPa operating window covers most small-actuator work.

Figures follow the official AirTAC 3V1 catalogue. Confirm coil voltage and thread (PT / NPT / G) against the product label before wiring.
| 3V1 | Body — sets the flow, the coil power and whether vacuum is rated. |
|---|---|
| 1/8 in | Port size. M5, 06 = 1/8 in, 08 = 1/4 in, 10 = 3/8 in. |
| DC24V | Coil voltage. A = AC220V, B = DC24V, C = AC110V, E = AC24V, F = DC12V. |
| — | Electrical entry: I = flying lead, otherwise a DIN plug. |
| PT | Port thread. PT ships from stock; G and NPT are available to order. |
A 3/2 valve has three ports — supply, outlet and exhaust — and two states. It either feeds the outlet or vents it to exhaust, and that is the whole job.
That makes it the right valve for a single-acting (spring-return) cylinder, on/off air blow, a clamp, switching a vacuum generator or suction cup, and piloting a larger valve.
It cannot run a double-acting cylinder. A double-acting cylinder needs air alternately on two sides, which takes a 5-port valve — the AirTAC 4V series.
A pulsed air jet clearing dust from optical lenses ahead of an inspection camera, shut off cleanly by the spring return.
Driving a small spring-close gripper on an electronics pick-and-place head, where a 3.0 W coil keeps the 24 V budget tight.
Switching purge air on a bench-top environmental test chamber, toggled by the manual override while the rig is being set up.
Because no Cv is published for the 3V1, treat it as a control valve rather than a flow valve: if orifice size matters, step up to 3V2 (1/8in and 1/4in, NC or NO selectable, Cv 0.18-0.19, vacuum rated) or 3V3 (1/4in, Cv 0.62), or pick 3V2M where manifold density outranks flow. Driving a double-acting cylinder? That takes a 5-port valve from the AirTAC 4V series.
Match five things before you order the -X1: port (M5 or 1/8in), thread (PT is standard on this family, G and NPT are order options), coil voltage, electrical entry (DIN plug or flying lead), and single valve versus manifold station count - then send us the full code to confirm.
Confirm before you order
The published 3V1 data: operating pressure 0-0.8 MPa (0-114 psi), temperature -20 to 70 C, IP65 (DIN 40050) sealing, and a DC24V coil rated 3.0 W (family alternatives: AC220V and AC110V at 4.5 VA, AC24V at 5.0 VA, DC12V at 2.5 W). A flow coefficient is not stated for this series - request confirmation from us for flow-sensitive use.
The spring returns the valve to its single fixed initial state as soon as the coil de-energises, so the line either vents or stays fed per that state - confirm the exact state on the datasheet. The manual override lets you toggle the valve by hand during installation and commissioning, with no coil power needed.
