The AirTAC Airtac 3V1 Solenoid Valve 3V106B3F is a genuine 3-port 2-position (3/2) solenoid valve with 1/8 in ports. It either feeds its outlet or vents it to exhaust, which is what makes it the valve for single-acting cylinders, on/off air blow, clamping, vacuum switching and pilot duty.
The 3V106B3F is a three-station manifold assembly of AirTAC 3V1 valves: three 3/2 direct-acting, spring-return solenoid valves sharing one base. Each valve either feeds or vents a single line, so it drives single-acting cylinders, air blow, clamps or pilots a larger valve. The DC24V coil draws just 3.0 W per valve, keeping transformer sizing small.
Entry is a DIN plug per valve, so coils swap in seconds without touching the manifold. Ports are 1/8in PT, the standard thread on this family, and a manual override on each station helps during commissioning. Protection is IP65 to DIN 40050.

Figures follow the official AirTAC 3V1 catalogue. Confirm coil voltage and thread (PT / NPT / G) against the product label before wiring.
| 3V1 | Body — sets the flow, the coil power and whether vacuum is rated. |
|---|---|
| 1/8 in | Port size. M5, 06 = 1/8 in, 08 = 1/4 in, 10 = 3/8 in. |
| DC24V | Coil voltage. A = AC220V, B = DC24V, C = AC110V, E = AC24V, F = DC12V. |
| — | Electrical entry: I = flying lead, otherwise a DIN plug. |
| 3F | 3 stations in one assembly. |
| PT | Port thread. PT ships from stock; G and NPT are available to order. |
A 3/2 valve has three ports — supply, outlet and exhaust — and two states. It either feeds the outlet or vents it to exhaust, and that is the whole job.
That makes it the right valve for a single-acting (spring-return) cylinder, on/off air blow, a clamp, switching a vacuum generator or suction cup, and piloting a larger valve.
It cannot run a double-acting cylinder. A double-acting cylinder needs air alternately on two sides, which takes a 5-port valve — the AirTAC 4V series.
A 3 mm air jet clears chips from a small assembly-robot gripper between cycles; the DC24V coil at 3.0 W runs straight off the machine's 24 V logic supply.
The valve feeds a compact single-acting clamp cylinder on a drill jig and vents it on release, the cylinder spring closing the clamp when power drops.
One station pilots a larger process valve downstream; the 3-station base leaves two spare signals ready on the same panel footprint.
The 3V1 is the smallest, lowest-power body in the 3V range, and AirTAC publishes no flow coefficient for it, so flow-critical sizing should be confirmed with us. When a single 3V1 port is too small, step up to the 3V2 (1/8in and 1/4in, NC or NO selectable, Cv 0.18-0.19, vacuum rated) or the 3V3 (1/4in, Cv 0.62); choose 3V2M when manifold density matters more than flow. If your actuator is a double-acting cylinder, you need the 5-port AirTAC 4V series instead.
Before ordering, match five points: port (M5 or 1/8in), thread (PT is standard; G and NPT are order options), coil voltage, electrical entry (DIN plug or flying lead), and individual valve or manifold station count from 1F to 20F.

Operating pressure 0-0.8 MPa (0-114 psi); media temperature -20 to 70 C; DC24V coil power 3.0 W per valve; protection IP65 (DIN 40050); air filtered to 40 um or finer; three ports, two positions, direct-acting with spring return. A flow coefficient (Cv) is not published for the 3V1, so confirm duty with us for flow-critical uses.
No. A 3/2 valve has three ports - supply, outlet and exhaust - and either feeds the line or vents it, which suits single-acting cylinders, air blow, clamping and pilot duty. A double-acting cylinder needs two outlet lines, so specify the 5-port AirTAC 4V series.
