The AirTAC Airtac 3V1 Solenoid Valve 3V106B3F-AM is a genuine 3-port 2-position (3/2) solenoid valve with 1/8 in ports. It either feeds its outlet or vents it to exhaust, which is what makes it the valve for single-acting cylinders, on/off air blow, clamping, vacuum switching and pilot duty.
This 3V106B3F-AM is the -AM variant of the three-station 3V1 manifold: three direct-acting, spring-return 3/2 valves on a common base, each with 1/8in PT ports. The DC24V coils take 3.0 W apiece, and the suffix marks a catalogue option - confirm its exact scope on the datasheet before ordering.
Each station is its own 3/2 valve with two states: pressurise the outlet, or vent it. That makes the assembly a natural fit for single-acting cylinders, jet blow, clamp circuits and pilot duty, with a manual override on every valve for setup and IP65 (DIN 40050) protection throughout.

Figures follow the official AirTAC 3V1 catalogue. Confirm coil voltage and thread (PT / NPT / G) against the product label before wiring.
| 3V1 | Body — sets the flow, the coil power and whether vacuum is rated. |
|---|---|
| 1/8 in | Port size. M5, 06 = 1/8 in, 08 = 1/4 in, 10 = 3/8 in. |
| DC24V | Coil voltage. A = AC220V, B = DC24V, C = AC110V, E = AC24V, F = DC12V. |
| — | Electrical entry: I = flying lead, otherwise a DIN plug. |
| 3F | 3 stations in one assembly. |
| PT | Port thread. PT ships from stock; G and NPT are available to order. |
A 3/2 valve has three ports — supply, outlet and exhaust — and two states. It either feeds the outlet or vents it to exhaust, and that is the whole job.
That makes it the right valve for a single-acting (spring-return) cylinder, on/off air blow, a clamp, switching a vacuum generator or suction cup, and piloting a larger valve.
It cannot run a double-acting cylinder. A double-acting cylinder needs air alternately on two sides, which takes a 5-port valve — the AirTAC 4V series.
Three filtered air jets dry circuit boards after a wash step, each jet switched by one DC24V station drawing 3.0 W from the panel supply.
A light work-holding clamp on a small pneumatic press extends on valve feed and retracts by its return spring when the valve vents the line.
One 1/8in station sends the pilot signal that shifts a larger process valve in a water-treatment skid, keeping solenoid power draw minimal.
Two things to settle before you order. First the variant: the -AM suffix is not decoded by the base code, so confirm what it changes from the datasheet or with our RFQ desk. Second the size: the 3V1 has no published Cv, and its 1/8in ports are the smallest in the range - if more flow is needed, step up to the 3V2 (Cv 0.18-0.19, NC or NO selectable, vacuum rated) or the 3V3 (1/4in, Cv 0.62); for dense multi-valve panels the 3V2M is the manifold-first choice. Double-acting actuators belong on the 5-port 4V series.
Match five points: port (M5 or 1/8in), thread (PT standard here; G and NPT are options to order), coil voltage, electrical entry (this code uses DIN plugs, not flying leads), and station count 1F-20F.

Pressure 0-0.8 MPa (0-114 psi); temperature -20 to 70 C; protection IP65 (DIN 40050); air filtered to 40 um or finer; and for this code a DC24V coil at 3.0 W per station. AirTAC publishes no Cv or effective area for the 3V1, so treat flow as a confirm-with-us item.
The base code 3V106B3F reads as 1/8in ports, DC24V coil and a 3-station manifold; -AM is an additional catalogue variant whose exact content should be confirmed on the datasheet. Entry on this SKU is a DIN plug per valve; flying-lead versions carry an I in the code instead.
