The AirTAC Airtac 3V1 Solenoid Valve 3V106B4F is a genuine 3-port 2-position (3/2) solenoid valve with 1/8 in ports. It either feeds its outlet or vents it to exhaust, which is what makes it the valve for single-acting cylinders, on/off air blow, clamping, vacuum switching and pilot duty.
Four 3/2 direct-acting valves on one base: the 3V106B4F integrates four AirTAC 3V1 stations in series, cutting panel space and plumbing joints versus four separate bodies. Each station feeds or vents a single line - the job profile of single-acting cylinders, blow nozzles, clamps and pilot signals - and springs back to rest when the coil de-energises.
The DC24V coils draw 3.0 W each, so a whole four-station block stays within modest power budgets, and every station carries IP65 (DIN 40050) protection with a manual override for setup. Ports are 1/8in PT, the family standard; G and NPT are catalogue options to order.

Figures follow the official AirTAC 3V1 catalogue. Confirm coil voltage and thread (PT / NPT / G) against the product label before wiring.
| 3V1 | Body — sets the flow, the coil power and whether vacuum is rated. |
|---|---|
| 1/8 in | Port size. M5, 06 = 1/8 in, 08 = 1/4 in, 10 = 3/8 in. |
| DC24V | Coil voltage. A = AC220V, B = DC24V, C = AC110V, E = AC24V, F = DC12V. |
| — | Electrical entry: I = flying lead, otherwise a DIN plug. |
| 4F | 4 stations in one assembly. |
| PT | Port thread. PT ships from stock; G and NPT are available to order. |
A 3/2 valve has three ports — supply, outlet and exhaust — and two states. It either feeds the outlet or vents it to exhaust, and that is the whole job.
That makes it the right valve for a single-acting (spring-return) cylinder, on/off air blow, a clamp, switching a vacuum generator or suction cup, and piloting a larger valve.
It cannot run a double-acting cylinder. A double-acting cylinder needs air alternately on two sides, which takes a 5-port valve — the AirTAC 4V series.
Four swing clamps on a rotary indexing table each get their own 3/2 station, so one manifold block controls the whole fixture.
Short bursts of clean air clear spills from nozzles on a bottling carousel; four valves share one base and one 24 V supply.
Each station routes a pilot signal to a diverter valve on a parcel sorter, replacing four loose bodies with one tidy panel assembly.
Because AirTAC publishes no Cv for the 3V1, confirm any flow-critical duty with us before you commit. Upgrading paths: the 3V2 adds 1/4in ports, selectable NC or NO, Cv 0.18-0.19 and a vacuum rating; the 3V3 gives 1/4in and Cv 0.62; the 3V2M wins when you need the densest possible manifold rather than the most flow. And remember a 3/2 valve can never stroke a double-acting cylinder - that is a two-line job for the AirTAC 4V series.
Tick five boxes before ordering: port (M5 or 1/8in), thread (PT standard, G/NPT as order options), coil voltage, electrical entry (DIN plug or flying lead), and one valve or a manifold of 1F to 20F stations - this code is 4F.

Pressure 0-0.8 MPa (0-114 psi); temperature -20 to 70 C; coil DC24V at 3.0 W per station; IP65 (DIN 40050); 40 um or finer filtration; 1/8in PT ports; four 3/2 direct-acting, spring-return stations. There is no published Cv for the 3V1 - send us the duty and we will confirm suitability.
One base means one mounting, shared plumbing and fewer leak points. Each valve keeps its own DIN plug, manual override and IP65 rating, and the same family runs from 1 to 20 stations when the panel needs to grow.
