The AirTAC Airtac 3V1 Solenoid Valve 3V106B6F-AM is a genuine 3-port 2-position (3/2) solenoid valve with 1/8 in ports. It either feeds its outlet or vents it to exhaust, which is what makes it the valve for single-acting cylinders, on/off air blow, clamping, vacuum switching and pilot duty.
With 3V106B6F-AM you get six 3/2 valves sharing one base, 1/8 PT threaded, each direct-acting and spring return. The spring is the operational story: cut coil power and every station vents its line automatically - valuable wherever a dropped signal must leave clamps released or blow-off off. Each valve is supplied in a single fixed initial state - confirm it on the datasheet. The -AM suffix denotes a factory option on this code; confirm its exact scope via the datasheet or your RFQ.
The manual override on every valve lets you jog each function during dry commissioning without energising anything. Coils are DC24V at 3.0 W, DIN plug entry, protected to IP65 (DIN 40050).

Figures follow the official AirTAC 3V1 catalogue. Confirm coil voltage and thread (PT / NPT / G) against the product label before wiring.
| 3V1 | Body — sets the flow, the coil power and whether vacuum is rated. |
|---|---|
| 1/8 in | Port size. M5, 06 = 1/8 in, 08 = 1/4 in, 10 = 3/8 in. |
| DC24V | Coil voltage. A = AC220V, B = DC24V, C = AC110V, E = AC24V, F = DC12V. |
| — | Electrical entry: I = flying lead, otherwise a DIN plug. |
| 6F | 6 stations in one assembly. |
| PT | Port thread. PT ships from stock; G and NPT are available to order. |
A 3/2 valve has three ports — supply, outlet and exhaust — and two states. It either feeds the outlet or vents it to exhaust, and that is the whole job.
That makes it the right valve for a single-acting (spring-return) cylinder, on/off air blow, a clamp, switching a vacuum generator or suction cup, and piloting a larger valve.
It cannot run a double-acting cylinder. A double-acting cylinder needs air alternately on two sides, which takes a 5-port valve — the AirTAC 4V series.
When the 24 V supply drops, the spring return vents the hold-down clamp lines on the sealer, so parts are released rather than left held by trapped air.
Six manually overridable stations let technicians pulse test fixtures and blow guns from one manifold during equipment trials and repairs.
Spring-return tuck cylinders fold carton flaps as the packer indexes, each station fed and vented by its own 3/2 valve on the common base.
No Cv figure exists for the 3V1 body, so treat anything flow-sensitive as a question for our engineers. To gain flow, choose 3V2 (1/8 or 1/4, NC or NO selectable, Cv 0.18-0.19, vacuum rated) or 3V3 (1/4, Cv 0.62); if a compact manifold is the priority rather than throughput, 3V2M is the body built for it. Double-acting actuation requires 5 ports - route that need to the AirTAC 4V series. Confirm before ordering: port M5 or 1/8, thread (PT as standard, G/NPT orderable), coil voltage, DIN plug against flying lead, and how many manifold stations you need.
Confirm before you order
Each 3/2 valve is single solenoid: energise to feed the outlet, de-energise and the spring returns the valve, venting the line. Ratings: 0-0.8 MPa (0-114 psi), -20 to 70 C, IP65 (DIN 40050). The DC24V coil is 3.0 W; family-wide, AC220V and AC110V are 4.5 VA, AC24V is 5.0 VA and DC12V is 2.5 W. Cv is not published for 3V1 - confirm flow with us if it matters to your duty.
Three ports (supply, outlet, exhaust), two states: each valve feeds or vents one line. That fits single-acting cylinders, clamping, air blow and piloting larger valves - not double-acting cylinders, which need the 5-port AirTAC 4V series. Station counts from 1 to 20 can be ordered on one base, and each valve has one fixed initial state, so confirm it on the datasheet.
