The AirTAC Airtac 3V1 Solenoid Valve 3V106BI is a genuine 3-port 2-position (3/2) solenoid valve with 1/8 in ports. It either feeds its outlet or vents it to exhaust, which is what makes it the valve for single-acting cylinders, on/off air blow, clamping, vacuum switching and pilot duty.
The AirTAC 3V106BI is a 3/2 direct-acting solenoid valve on a PT1/8 port, wired through a flying lead instead of a DIN socket. It feeds or vents one line at a time, so it drives single-acting cylinders, air blow and clamps, or pilots a larger valve. A spring returns the spool whenever the coil drops out.
The DC24V coil draws only 3.0 W, which keeps the load on your 24 V power supply low even where several valves share one rail. Protection is IP65 (DIN 40050) and a manual override is fitted to help with installation and commissioning.

Figures follow the official AirTAC 3V1 catalogue. Confirm coil voltage and thread (PT / NPT / G) against the product label before wiring.
| 3V1 | Body — sets the flow, the coil power and whether vacuum is rated. |
|---|---|
| 1/8 in | Port size. M5, 06 = 1/8 in, 08 = 1/4 in, 10 = 3/8 in. |
| DC24V | Coil voltage. A = AC220V, B = DC24V, C = AC110V, E = AC24V, F = DC12V. |
| I | Electrical entry: I = flying lead, otherwise a DIN plug. |
| PT | Port thread. PT ships from stock; G and NPT are available to order. |
A 3/2 valve has three ports — supply, outlet and exhaust — and two states. It either feeds the outlet or vents it to exhaust, and that is the whole job.
That makes it the right valve for a single-acting (spring-return) cylinder, on/off air blow, a clamp, switching a vacuum generator or suction cup, and piloting a larger valve.
It cannot run a double-acting cylinder. A double-acting cylinder needs air alternately on two sides, which takes a 5-port valve — the AirTAC 4V series.
Switches supply and exhaust on a spring-return gripper of a small pick-and-place robot, letting the fingers open the moment the 24 V coil drops out.
Feeds a narrow air jet that clears dust from printed circuit boards ahead of inspection, then vents the line dead once the cycle ends.
Sends a pilot air signal to a larger diaphragm process valve from a compact 24 V panel, with spring return dumping the signal on shutdown.
3V1 is the smallest and lowest-power body in AirTAC's 3V range and has no published Cv, so for flow-critical duties confirm sizing with us rather than estimating. When you need more flow, step up to the 3V2 (1/8in and 1/4in, NC or NO selectable, Cv 0.18-0.19, vacuum rated) or the 3V3 (1/4in, Cv 0.62); if manifold density matters more than flow, 3V2M is the platform to compare. Before ordering, confirm five points: port (M5 or 1/8in), thread (PT is standard on this family; G and NPT are order options), coil voltage, electrical entry (DIN plug or flying lead - this code is flying lead), and individual valve versus manifold station count. If your actuator is double-acting, you need a 5-port valve from the AirTAC 4V series instead.

Operating pressure is 0-0.8 MPa (0-114 psi), medium temperature -20 to 70 C, and protection IP65 (DIN 40050). Coil power across the family: AC220V 4.5 VA, AC110V 4.5 VA, AC24V 5.0 VA, DC24V 3.0 W, DC12V 2.5 W - this SKU carries the 3.0 W DC24V coil. No Cv or effective-area figure is published for the 3V1 body, so ask us to confirm flow from the datasheet.
The I in 3V106BI means a lead-out wire entry: the coil is pre-wired with a flying lead you route straight to your control terminals, instead of plugging a separate DIN connector into a socket on the coil body. Both entry styles carry the same IP65 rating, so the choice is purely about how your cabinet is wired.
