The AirTAC Airtac 3V1 Solenoid Valve 3V106BI-X1 is a genuine 3-port 2-position (3/2) solenoid valve with 1/8 in ports. It either feeds its outlet or vents it to exhaust, which is what makes it the valve for single-acting cylinders, on/off air blow, clamping, vacuum switching and pilot duty.
The AirTAC 3V106BI-X1 is a 3/2 direct-acting solenoid valve on the compact 3V1 body, with 1/8 inch ports tapped PT and a DC24V coil wired through pre-fitted flying leads rather than a detachable DIN socket. It is supplied in a single fixed initial state - confirm it on the datasheet. Because the coil draws only 3.0 W, this version suits control panels where the 24 VDC supply is already loaded or where low coil heat build-up matters.
IP65 (DIN 40050) sealing protects the electrical connection in dusty and damp production areas, and a manual override lets you cycle the valve during installation and commissioning without applying power. Feed it with air filtered through a 40 um or finer element; lubrication is not required. Send us the RFQ for a quick genuine-AirTAC quotation.

Figures follow the official AirTAC 3V1 catalogue. Confirm coil voltage and thread (PT / NPT / G) against the product label before wiring.
| 3V1 | Body — sets the flow, the coil power and whether vacuum is rated. |
|---|---|
| 1/8 in | Port size. M5, 06 = 1/8 in, 08 = 1/4 in, 10 = 3/8 in. |
| DC24V | Coil voltage. A = AC220V, B = DC24V, C = AC110V, E = AC24V, F = DC12V. |
| I | Electrical entry: I = flying lead, otherwise a DIN plug. |
| PT | Port thread. PT ships from stock; G and NPT are available to order. |
A 3/2 valve has three ports — supply, outlet and exhaust — and two states. It either feeds the outlet or vents it to exhaust, and that is the whole job.
That makes it the right valve for a single-acting (spring-return) cylinder, on/off air blow, a clamp, switching a vacuum generator or suction cup, and piloting a larger valve.
It cannot run a double-acting cylinder. A double-acting cylinder needs air alternately on two sides, which takes a 5-port valve — the AirTAC 4V series.
The spring-return 3/2 function pressurises a single-acting clamp cylinder to hold an aluminium workpiece, then vents the line so the spring retracts it once the 3.0 W DC24V coil de-energises.
Switch a compressed-air nozzle to clear powder from a screen between print strokes. The direct-acting coil runs on low-power 24 VDC, and the manual override lets operators test the jet before the panel is energised.
Use the outlet and exhaust ports to pilot a larger air-operated diaphragm valve on a water-treatment skid, keeping the pilot-stage coil load down to just 3.0 W on the plant's 24 VDC rail.
The 3V1 is the smallest, lowest-power body in AirTAC's 3V range, and no flow coefficient (Cv) is published for it - if your duty is flow-critical, send us the application and we will confirm suitability. Size upward in two directions: the 3V2 family covers 1/8 inch and 1/4 inch with an NC or NO selectable state, a published Cv of 0.18-0.19 and a vacuum rating, while the 3V3 in 1/4 inch reaches a much higher Cv of 0.62. When dense manifold packing matters more than flow, 3V2M is the dedicated body for that job. Before ordering this SKU, match five points: port (M5 or 1/8 inch), thread (PT is the standard thread on this family; G and NPT are catalogue options to order), coil voltage, electrical entry (this code is the flying-lead version, while the plain 3V106B takes a DIN plug), and individual valve versus a 1F-20F manifold station count. To drive a double-acting cylinder you need a 5-port valve - move to the AirTAC 4V series.

Operating pressure is 0-0.8 MPa (0-114 psi) and the medium is air filtered to 40 um or finer, with no lubrication required. The working temperature range is -20 to 70 C. The DC24V coil consumes 3.0 W; other 3V1 voltages are rated AC220V 4.5 VA, AC110V 4.5 VA, AC24V 5.0 VA and DC12V 2.5 W. The housing carries an IP65 (DIN 40050) protection class. Note that AirTAC does not publish a flow coefficient (Cv) for the 3V1 body - ask us to confirm flow for your duty.
A 3/2 valve has three ports - supply, outlet and exhaust - and two states, so it either feeds the outlet or vents it. That makes this valve right for single-acting spring-return cylinders, clamping circuits, on/off air blow and piloting a larger valve; it cannot drive a double-acting cylinder, which requires a 5-port valve from the AirTAC 4V range. This SKU is the flying-lead version, so the coil connects through a pre-wired lead-out instead of a detachable DIN plug, which is convenient where the controller side is wired directly on site.
