The AirTAC Airtac 3V1 Solenoid Valve 3V106BI14F is a genuine 3-port 2-position (3/2) solenoid valve with 1/8 in ports. It either feeds its outlet or vents it to exhaust, which is what makes it the valve for single-acting cylinders, on/off air blow, clamping, vacuum switching and pilot duty.
3V106BI14F is a fourteen-position AirTAC 3V1 manifold built around direct-acting, single-solenoid 3/2 valves with spring return. Every position carries a 1/8 PT-threaded port, works from 0-0.8 MPa (0-114 psi), and switches a single line - feed it or vent it - which is exactly what single-acting cylinders, clamps, blow-off nozzles and pilot stages need.
A manual override on each coil lets maintenance staff cycle any station by hand during set-up or fault-finding, a real advantage when fourteen valves share one panel. The DC24V coils draw 3.0 W and meet IP65 (DIN 40050); air must be filtered to 40 um or finer and no lubrication is needed.

Figures follow the official AirTAC 3V1 catalogue. Confirm coil voltage and thread (PT / NPT / G) against the product label before wiring.
| 3V1 | Body — sets the flow, the coil power and whether vacuum is rated. |
|---|---|
| 1/8 in | Port size. M5, 06 = 1/8 in, 08 = 1/4 in, 10 = 3/8 in. |
| DC24V | Coil voltage. A = AC220V, B = DC24V, C = AC110V, E = AC24V, F = DC12V. |
| I | Electrical entry: I = flying lead, otherwise a DIN plug. |
| 14F | 14 stations in one assembly. |
| PT | Port thread. PT ships from stock; G and NPT are available to order. |
A 3/2 valve has three ports — supply, outlet and exhaust — and two states. It either feeds the outlet or vents it to exhaust, and that is the whole job.
That makes it the right valve for a single-acting (spring-return) cylinder, on/off air blow, a clamp, switching a vacuum generator or suction cup, and piloting a larger valve.
It cannot run a double-acting cylinder. A double-acting cylinder needs air alternately on two sides, which takes a 5-port valve — the AirTAC 4V series.
Isolates and vents air lines on an automated electronics test bench, one valve station per fixture so a failed unit can be dumped without disturbing its neighbours.
Drives the swing stop and clamp cylinder on a fabrication-shop welding jig, with the manual override used to jog stations by hand during first-off checks.
Delivers brief compressed-air blasts to clear chips from a tool-changer pocket between swaps on a machining centre.
Do not size this body on guesswork: 3V1 carries no published flow coefficient, so any flow-sensitive application should be checked with us. To gain flow, move up to 3V2 (1/8 or 1/4, selectable NC or NO, Cv 0.18-0.19, rated for vacuum) or 3V3 (1/4, Cv 0.62); where packing valves densely matters more than flow, look at 3V2M; and a double-acting cylinder calls for the 5-port 4V family instead.
Your five-point checklist: M5 or 1/8 port; PT thread as standard, with G and NPT available to order; coil voltage (here DC24V); DIN plug versus flying lead (here flying lead); and individual valve or a manifold station count from 1F to 20F.

It works at 0-0.8 MPa (0-114 psi) between -20 and 70 C, uses DC24V coils rated 3.0 W, and carries IP65 (DIN 40050) protection. Across the 3V1 family the coil figures are AC220V 4.5 VA, AC110V 4.5 VA, AC24V 5.0 VA, DC24V 3.0 W and DC12V 2.5 W. No Cv or effective area is published for 3V1; confirm flow-critical duties with us. This version has 14 PT1/8 stations.
AirTAC builds 3V1 manifolds from 1F to 20F, so 1 to 20 valves can share one base. The 14-station 3V106BI14F sits well inside that range and saves panel space versus fourteen individual bodies. Base hardware such as the 3V1-P31 O-ring and long-screw set supports the assembly, and other station counts can be quoted through an RFQ.
