The AirTAC Airtac 3V1 Solenoid Valve 3V106BI6F is a genuine 3-port 2-position (3/2) solenoid valve with 1/8 in ports. It either feeds its outlet or vents it to exhaust, which is what makes it the valve for single-acting cylinders, on/off air blow, clamping, vacuum switching and pilot duty.
Six stations, one PT1/8 base: 3V106BI6F groups six AirTAC 3V1 3/2 valves into a single manifold, each station a direct-acting, single-solenoid unit with spring return. Total coil draw stays modest - six DC24V coils at 3.0 W each - and every coil is wired through its own flying lead-out instead of a DIN socket, keeping cabinet wiring simple.
Each station either pressurises its outlet or vents it to exhaust, which suits spring-return cylinders, air clamps, blow-off nozzles and pilot lines on larger valves. IP65 (DIN 40050) protection, a manual override per station and a 40 um or finer filtration requirement round out the spec. Every valve is supplied in a single fixed initial state - confirm it on the datasheet.

Figures follow the official AirTAC 3V1 catalogue. Confirm coil voltage and thread (PT / NPT / G) against the product label before wiring.
| 3V1 | Body — sets the flow, the coil power and whether vacuum is rated. |
|---|---|
| 1/8 in | Port size. M5, 06 = 1/8 in, 08 = 1/4 in, 10 = 3/8 in. |
| DC24V | Coil voltage. A = AC220V, B = DC24V, C = AC110V, E = AC24V, F = DC12V. |
| I | Electrical entry: I = flying lead, otherwise a DIN plug. |
| 6F | 6 stations in one assembly. |
| PT | Port thread. PT ships from stock; G and NPT are available to order. |
A 3/2 valve has three ports — supply, outlet and exhaust — and two states. It either feeds the outlet or vents it to exhaust, and that is the whole job.
That makes it the right valve for a single-acting (spring-return) cylinder, on/off air blow, a clamp, switching a vacuum generator or suction cup, and piloting a larger valve.
It cannot run a double-acting cylinder. A double-acting cylinder needs air alternately on two sides, which takes a 5-port valve — the AirTAC 4V series.
Six diverter gates on a parcel sorting conveyor each get their own 3/2 station, all fed from one compact PT1/8 manifold block.
A calibration rig switches supply air to six gauges in turn, using low-draw 3.0 W coils that keep the bench's power budget flat.
Six single-acting clamps around an electronics assembly bench are driven one per station, venting automatically on power loss.
The 3V1 is AirTAC's smallest, most power-frugal 3V body, and the catalogue quotes no Cv or effective area for it - if flow affects your cycle time, confirm sizing with us. To gain flow, choose 3V2 (1/8 in and 1/4 in, NC/NO selectable, Cv 0.18-0.19, vacuum capable) or 3V3 (1/4 in, Cv 0.62); to gain manifold density rather than flow, 3V2M is the body built for it. Double-acting cylinders are beyond a 3-port valve - that is a job for the 5-port AirTAC 4V series.
Settle five points before you order: port (M5 or 1/8 in), thread (PT is standard; G and NPT are orderable options), coil voltage, electrical entry (DIN plug or flying lead), and the number of stations, from a single valve up to 20.

Pressure 0-0.8 MPa (0-114 psi); temperature -20 to 70 C; protection IP65 (DIN 40050). Coil ratings across the range: AC220V 4.5 VA, AC110V 4.5 VA, AC24V 5.0 VA, DC24V 3.0 W, DC12V 2.5 W, with DC24V fitted to all six stations here. Function: 3/2, direct-acting, single solenoid, spring return. The 3V1 body has no published Cv - no figure and no estimate exists - so confirm flow before committing.
The 3V1 ordering code has no NC or NO position: each valve is supplied in a single fixed initial state, and you should confirm that state on the datasheet for your code rather than assume it. Every station returns to that state by spring when the DC24V coil de-energises, and the fitted manual override lets you verify the rest position during commissioning.
