The AirTAC Airtac 3V1 Solenoid Valve 3V106C is a genuine 3-port 2-position (3/2) solenoid valve with 1/8 in ports. It either feeds its outlet or vents it to exhaust, which is what makes it the valve for single-acting cylinders, on/off air blow, clamping, vacuum switching and pilot duty.
3V106C is the single-valve 3V1 in the AC110V version: a 3/2 direct-acting solenoid with one coil and a spring return. It has three ports and two states - supply to outlet, or outlet dumped to exhaust - so it drives single-acting cylinders, clamps, blow nozzles, or pilots a larger main valve. The 110 V coil pulls only 4.5 VA, which keeps transformers and control circuits small.
Entry is the standard DIN plug: the coil sits on a socket connector that unplugs in seconds for service or coil swaps. You also get IP65 (DIN 40050) coil protection, a manual override for set-up, and 1/8in ports cut with the PT thread that is the default on this family. Air must be filtered to 40 um or finer; no lubricator is needed.

Figures follow the official AirTAC 3V1 catalogue. Confirm coil voltage and thread (PT / NPT / G) against the product label before wiring.
| 3V1 | Body — sets the flow, the coil power and whether vacuum is rated. |
|---|---|
| 1/8 in | Port size. M5, 06 = 1/8 in, 08 = 1/4 in, 10 = 3/8 in. |
| AC110V | Coil voltage. A = AC220V, B = DC24V, C = AC110V, E = AC24V, F = DC12V. |
| — | Electrical entry: I = flying lead, otherwise a DIN plug. |
| PT | Port thread. PT ships from stock; G and NPT are available to order. |
A 3/2 valve has three ports — supply, outlet and exhaust — and two states. It either feeds the outlet or vents it to exhaust, and that is the whole job.
That makes it the right valve for a single-acting (spring-return) cylinder, on/off air blow, a clamp, switching a vacuum generator or suction cup, and piloting a larger valve.
It cannot run a double-acting cylinder. A double-acting cylinder needs air alternately on two sides, which takes a 5-port valve — the AirTAC 4V series.
A single-acting cylinder presses the capper head onto each bottle, and 4.5 VA at AC110V ties neatly into the machine's existing control transformer.
On a maintenance-shop arbor press, the valve feeds a single-acting hold-down clamp and vents it the instant the button is released, thanks to the spring return.
The valve pilots a diaphragm valve inside a compact analytical instrument, where the low 4.5 VA coil and DIN-plug serviceability keep the design simple.
As an individual valve, 3V106C is the entry point to the 3V range - the smallest body with the lowest coil draw. It carries no published Cv, so confirm any flow-critical duty with us first. When a job outgrows it, move to 3V2 (1/8in and 1/4in, NC or NO selectable, Cv 0.18-0.19, rated for vacuum) or 3V3 (1/4in, Cv 0.62); if manifold density outranks flow, 3V2M is the purpose-built pick. A double-acting cylinder is out of scope for any 3-port valve - that job goes to the AirTAC 4V series.
Before ordering, tick five boxes: M5 or 1/8in port; thread (PT is standard, G and NPT are catalogue options to order); coil voltage - here AC110V at 4.5 VA; entry - DIN plug on this SKU, flying lead on the I-suffix codes; and single valve versus a 1F-20F manifold.

One 3/2 direct-acting, single-solenoid, spring-return valve with 1/8in PT ports. Pressure range 0-0.8 MPa (0-114 psi); temperature -20 to 70 C; protection IP65 (DIN 40050). The AC110V coil is rated 4.5 VA; across the family AC220V is also 4.5 VA, AC24V is 5.0 VA, DC24V is 3.0 W and DC12V is 2.5 W. Media is air filtered to 40 um or finer, with no lubrication required. AirTAC publishes no Cv for 3V1 - confirm flow-critical duties with us.
Single-acting (spring-return) cylinders, clamps, on/off air blow, and pilot lines to larger valves - it either feeds one line or vents it. It cannot drive a double-acting cylinder in both directions, because that requires a 5-port valve such as the AirTAC 4V series. The valve has a manual override for set-up and comes with DIN plug entry; the flying-lead version is ordered with an I in the code. Its initial state is fixed - confirm it on the datasheet.
