The AirTAC Airtac 3V1 Solenoid Valve 3V106C1F is a genuine 3-port 2-position (3/2) solenoid valve with 1/8 in ports. It either feeds its outlet or vents it to exhaust, which is what makes it the valve for single-acting cylinders, on/off air blow, clamping, vacuum switching and pilot duty.
3V106C1F is the one-valve member of the 3V1 assembly range: a single 3/2 direct-acting, spring-return valve sitting on its own series base, the same mounting format AirTAC uses from 1F up to 20F. The AC110V coil needs just 4.5 VA and connects through a DIN plug. The valve is supplied in a single fixed initial state - confirm it on the datasheet.
In service it alternately feeds and vents one line - the pattern behind single-acting cylinder control, air blow, clamping and pilot duty. It runs on 0-0.8 MPa of air filtered to 40 um or finer (no lubrication required) between -20 and 70 C, is rated IP65 (DIN 40050), and its manual override makes setup and fault-finding simpler.

Figures follow the official AirTAC 3V1 catalogue. Confirm coil voltage and thread (PT / NPT / G) against the product label before wiring.
| 3V1 | Body — sets the flow, the coil power and whether vacuum is rated. |
|---|---|
| 1/8 in | Port size. M5, 06 = 1/8 in, 08 = 1/4 in, 10 = 3/8 in. |
| AC110V | Coil voltage. A = AC220V, B = DC24V, C = AC110V, E = AC24V, F = DC12V. |
| — | Electrical entry: I = flying lead, otherwise a DIN plug. |
| 1F | 1 stations in one assembly. |
| PT | Port thread. PT ships from stock; G and NPT are available to order. |
A 3/2 valve has three ports — supply, outlet and exhaust — and two states. It either feeds the outlet or vents it to exhaust, and that is the whole job.
That makes it the right valve for a single-acting (spring-return) cylinder, on/off air blow, a clamp, switching a vacuum generator or suction cup, and piloting a larger valve.
It cannot run a double-acting cylinder. A double-acting cylinder needs air alternately on two sides, which takes a 5-port valve — the AirTAC 4V series.
Cycles the small spring-return pusher that advances sample trays inside a laboratory analyser, on a coil that draws only 4.5 VA.
Holds a bracket in a welding jig while the operator tacks it, then releases automatically when the coil drops.
Dumps the clamp line of a small press whenever its guard opens, with the spring return ensuring the line vents on power loss.
Even for a single valve, size deliberately: 3V1 publishes no Cv, so anything flow-sensitive should be checked against the datasheet or quoted to us. If the duty needs more, 3V2 (1/8 and 1/4, NC or NO selectable, Cv 0.18-0.19, vacuum rated) and 3V3 (1/4, Cv 0.62) step up the flow; 3V2M is there when manifold density, not flow, is the priority; and double-acting cylinders call for the 5-port AirTAC 4V series instead.
Confirm five items before you order: port (M5 or 1/8), thread (PT standard on this family; G or NPT to order), coil voltage, electrical entry (DIN plug or flying lead) and whether you want an individual valve or a numbered manifold station (1F-20F).

Pressure range 0-0.8 MPa (0-114 psi); media temperature -20 to 70 C; protection IP65 (DIN 40050); coil power 4.5 VA on AC110V, with the family spanning AC220V 4.5 VA, AC24V 5.0 VA, DC24V 3.0 W and DC12V 2.5 W. AirTAC publishes no Cv or effective-area figure for 3V1 - request the datasheet for anything flow-sensitive.
AC110V matches the 110 V control circuits found in many machines and plants, and at 4.5 VA it is easy on the control transformer. The DIN plug lets the coil be unplugged without disturbing the wiring, which speeds swap-outs; if pre-wired leads suit the panel better, the same valve exists in a flying-lead entry to order.
