The AirTAC Airtac 3V1 Solenoid Valve 3V106E is a genuine 3-port 2-position (3/2) solenoid valve with 1/8 in ports. It either feeds its outlet or vents it to exhaust, which is what makes it the valve for single-acting cylinders, on/off air blow, clamping, vacuum switching and pilot duty.
3V106E puts the AirTAC 3V1 valve on a 24VAC control circuit: a direct-acting, single-solenoid, spring-return 3/2 body in 1/8in PT port size, with the coil connected through the integral DIN plug socket. Its 5.0 VA AC24V draw is gentle on transformers and 24V control wiring, and IP65 sealing to DIN 40050 keeps dust and water jets out of the coil chamber.
Like every 3/2 valve it feeds the outlet in one state and exhausts it in the other, so it drives spring-return actuators, clamps, blow duties and pilot stages. The spring return fixes the de-energised position with no second coil, and a manual override is fitted for commissioning.

Figures follow the official AirTAC 3V1 catalogue. Confirm coil voltage and thread (PT / NPT / G) against the product label before wiring.
| 3V1 | Body — sets the flow, the coil power and whether vacuum is rated. |
|---|---|
| 1/8 in | Port size. M5, 06 = 1/8 in, 08 = 1/4 in, 10 = 3/8 in. |
| AC24V | Coil voltage. A = AC220V, B = DC24V, C = AC110V, E = AC24V, F = DC12V. |
| — | Electrical entry: I = flying lead, otherwise a DIN plug. |
| PT | Port thread. PT ships from stock; G and NPT are available to order. |
A 3/2 valve has three ports — supply, outlet and exhaust — and two states. It either feeds the outlet or vents it to exhaust, and that is the whole job.
That makes it the right valve for a single-acting (spring-return) cylinder, on/off air blow, a clamp, switching a vacuum generator or suction cup, and piloting a larger valve.
It cannot run a double-acting cylinder. A double-acting cylinder needs air alternately on two sides, which takes a 5-port valve — the AirTAC 4V series.
Vents a spring-return guard-lock actuator in a machine safety circuit built entirely on 24VAC, where the 5.0 VA coil suits transformer-backed control supplies.
Feeds and vents a single-acting swing clamp on an aluminium machining fixture, with the DIN plug keeping coil replacement a simple two-wire job.
Switches the air pulse that flicks underweight packs off a checkweigher conveyor, with the spring return parking the gate vented between rejects.
Choose 3V106E when your panel runs 24VAC and DIN-plug wiring suits your build; remember PT1/8 is the standard thread on this family, while G and NPT are catalogue options to order. 3V1 is the smallest, lowest-power body in the 3V range but carries no published Cv, so check flow-critical duties with us; go to 3V2 (1/8in or 1/4in, NC or NO selectable, Cv 0.18-0.19, vacuum rated) or 3V3 (1/4in, Cv 0.62) for more flow, or 3V2M where dense manifold mounting counts.
Five points to confirm: port (M5 or 1/8in), thread, the AC24V coil, DIN plug versus flying lead, and individual valve or a 1F-20F manifold assembly. Driving a double-acting cylinder? That needs the 5-port AirTAC 4V series, not this 3/2 valve.

Direct-acting 3/2-way, single solenoid, spring return, PT1/8in ports. Operating pressure 0-0.8 MPa (0-114 psi), temperature -20 to 70 C, protection IP65 (DIN 40050). The AC24V coil draws 5.0 VA; across the 3V1 family coils run AC220V 4.5 VA, AC110V 4.5 VA, DC24V 3.0 W and DC12V 2.5 W. Air needs 40 um filtration or finer. AirTAC publishes no Cv or effective area for the 3V1 body - confirm flow with us if it is critical.
Choose the 3V106E when the machine's control side is 24VAC - common on burner panels, HVAC packs and older machinery - so the valve taps the existing transformer instead of adding a separate power supply. The DIN socket lets you detach wiring at the plug and swap the valve without rewiring. It still only switches one line (feed or vent), so it suits single-acting cylinders, clamps, blow and pilot duty; double-acting cylinders need the AirTAC 4V series.
