The AirTAC Airtac 3V1 Solenoid Valve 3V106E3F is a genuine 3-port 2-position (3/2) solenoid valve with 1/8 in ports. It either feeds its outlet or vents it to exhaust, which is what makes it the valve for single-acting cylinders, on/off air blow, clamping, vacuum switching and pilot duty.
The 3V106E3F keeps things small: a three-station block of 3/2-way direct-acting valves on a shared 1/8in PT base, each station driven by a 5.0 VA AC24V coil with spring return. One valve can feed a line while its neighbours vent theirs, so a compact machine section - say a clamp, a blow tip and a pilot signal - runs from one mounting point.
It is a genuine AirTAC assembly: IP65 (DIN 40050) coils on DIN sockets, a manual override on every station, and no lubrication needed provided the air is filtered through a 40 um or finer element. Expansion stays simple because the same family runs up to 20 stations on a base.

Figures follow the official AirTAC 3V1 catalogue. Confirm coil voltage and thread (PT / NPT / G) against the product label before wiring.
| 3V1 | Body — sets the flow, the coil power and whether vacuum is rated. |
|---|---|
| 1/8 in | Port size. M5, 06 = 1/8 in, 08 = 1/4 in, 10 = 3/8 in. |
| AC24V | Coil voltage. A = AC220V, B = DC24V, C = AC110V, E = AC24V, F = DC12V. |
| — | Electrical entry: I = flying lead, otherwise a DIN plug. |
| 3F | 3 stations in one assembly. |
| PT | Port thread. PT ships from stock; G and NPT are available to order. |
A 3/2 valve has three ports — supply, outlet and exhaust — and two states. It either feeds the outlet or vents it to exhaust, and that is the whole job.
That makes it the right valve for a single-acting (spring-return) cylinder, on/off air blow, a clamp, switching a vacuum generator or suction cup, and piloting a larger valve.
It cannot run a double-acting cylinder. A double-acting cylinder needs air alternately on two sides, which takes a 5-port valve — the AirTAC 4V series.
Three stations cover the clamp, the part-eject pusher and a cooling air puff, so one compact block runs the whole jig instead of three loose valves and hoses.
One station drives the single-acting cap-press cylinder, another blows the empty bottle neck clear, and the third pilots the cap-feed gate - all spring-return.
Three low-power stations trim and vent three air-knife lines during recipe changes; the manual override lets an operator set each jet by hand before the coil takes over.
Flow data is the gap here: 3V1 carries no published Cv, so if a duty is flow-sensitive, confirm the sizing with us first. The natural upgrades are 3V2 (1/8in and 1/4in bodies, selectable NC or NO, Cv 0.18-0.19, vacuum rated) and 3V3 (1/4in, Cv 0.62); 3V2M is the answer when you want the tightest manifold pitch rather than more flow. For this three-station SKU, lock down five details before ordering: the 1/8in port, the PT thread (G and NPT are order options), the AC24V coil, DIN plug entry, and whether three stations is the right count versus the 1F-20F range. Double-acting cylinders need the 5-port AirTAC 4V series, not a 3/2 valve.

A three-station 3/2 manifold: each valve is direct-acting, single-solenoid, spring-return, with 1/8in PT ports. Pressure span 0-0.8 MPa (0-114 psi); temperature -20 to 70 C; coil enclosure IP65 (DIN 40050). Coil power options run AC220V 4.5 VA, AC110V 4.5 VA, AC24V 5.0 VA, DC24V 3.0 W, DC12V 2.5 W - this block is AC24V throughout. AirTAC states no Cv for the 3V1 body, so flow-critical choices deserve a quick check with us.
One base, one mounting, three fewer plumbing interfaces - and the same family scales from 1F to 20F if the machine grows. Each station still acts independently, feeding or venting one line: a single-acting cylinder, a blow nozzle or a pilot signal. Remember that no 3/2 valve, this one included, can drive a double-acting cylinder; that job belongs to the 5-port AirTAC 4V range.
