The AirTAC Airtac 3V1 Solenoid Valve 3V106EI is a genuine 3-port 2-position (3/2) solenoid valve with 1/8 in ports. It either feeds its outlet or vents it to exhaust, which is what makes it the valve for single-acting cylinders, on/off air blow, clamping, vacuum switching and pilot duty.
The AirTAC 3V106EI is a direct-acting 3/2 solenoid valve with a 1/8in PT port, a 24V AC coil and factory-fitted lead-out wires in place of a DIN socket. It either feeds or vents one line, which makes it the natural switch for single-acting spring-return cylinders, blow-off jets, clamps and pilot duties on a larger valve. The spring returns the spool the moment power is cut, and a manual override lets you cycle the valve by hand during installation and commissioning.
Because the coil draws only 5.0 VA at AC24V, it slots straight into low-voltage circuits fed from a standard control transformer, and the flying-lead entry removes the need to seat a separate plug connector in congested panels. The unit is rated IP65 (DIN 40050), works from 0-0.8 MPa at -20 to 70 C on air filtered to 40 um or finer, and needs no lubrication. The initial state is a single fixed setting - confirm it on the datasheet before wiring it into a safety-relevant circuit.

Figures follow the official AirTAC 3V1 catalogue. Confirm coil voltage and thread (PT / NPT / G) against the product label before wiring.
| 3V1 | Body — sets the flow, the coil power and whether vacuum is rated. |
|---|---|
| 1/8 in | Port size. M5, 06 = 1/8 in, 08 = 1/4 in, 10 = 3/8 in. |
| AC24V | Coil voltage. A = AC220V, B = DC24V, C = AC110V, E = AC24V, F = DC12V. |
| I | Electrical entry: I = flying lead, otherwise a DIN plug. |
| PT | Port thread. PT ships from stock; G and NPT are available to order. |
A 3/2 valve has three ports — supply, outlet and exhaust — and two states. It either feeds the outlet or vents it to exhaust, and that is the whole job.
That makes it the right valve for a single-acting (spring-return) cylinder, on/off air blow, a clamp, switching a vacuum generator or suction cup, and piloting a larger valve.
It cannot run a double-acting cylinder. A double-acting cylinder needs air alternately on two sides, which takes a 5-port valve — the AirTAC 4V series.
A 24V control circuit switches the 3V106EI to press a hold-down clamp on a small parts feeder; cutting coil power vents the clamp line and the spring retracts the piston.
Flying-lead wiring reaches a dust-clearing air jet above a carton sealer, where the lead-out wires run straight to the machine terminal block with no DIN connector to seat.
In a machine electrical cabinet, the 5.0 VA AC24V coil pilots a larger process valve straight from a PLC relay output, with the manual override proving the circuit at commissioning.
This is the smallest and lowest-power body in the AirTAC 3V range, and AirTAC publishes no flow coefficient for it, so treat flow as unverified and confirm sizing with us before ordering a flow-critical duty. When you need more capacity, step up to the 3V2 (1/8in and 1/4in ports, NC or NO selectable, Cv 0.18-0.19, and rated for vacuum) or the 3V3 (1/4in, Cv 0.62); pick the 3V2M where manifold density matters more than flow. If your actuator is double-acting, you need a 5-port valve from the AirTAC 4V series instead. Before ordering this 3V106EI, match five points: the 1/8in port, the PT thread (the standard on this family, with G and NPT as catalogue options to order), the AC24V coil, the flying-lead entry rather than a DIN plug, and whether you want an individual valve or a multi-station manifold assembly.

It is a direct-acting 3/2 valve with a 1/8in PT port, a single solenoid and spring return. Operating pressure is 0-0.8 MPa (0-114 psi), temperature range -20 to 70 C, and protection IP65 (DIN 40050). The AC24V coil absorbs 5.0 VA. AirTAC publishes no flow coefficient (Cv) for the 3V1 body, so treat flow as unverified and confirm suitability for your duty with us. Medium is air filtered to 40 um or finer, with no lubrication required.
The I in 3V106EI denotes a lead-out wire entry: the coil connects through pre-wired leads instead of a DIN plug socket, which suits tight cabinets and saves fitting a connector. The valve feeds or vents one line, so it drives single-acting spring-return cylinders, air blow jets, clamps and pilot stages. It cannot drive a double-acting cylinder - that requires a 5-port valve such as the AirTAC 4V.
