The AirTAC Airtac 3V1 Solenoid Valve 3V106F1F is a genuine 3-port 2-position (3/2) solenoid valve with 1/8 in ports. It either feeds its outlet or vents it to exhaust, which is what makes it the valve for single-acting cylinders, on/off air blow, clamping, vacuum switching and pilot duty.
One station, one job. The 3V106F1F is a single 3V1 valve mounted in the series base format, giving you a 3/2 direct-acting valve with a PT1/8 port, a DC12V coil and a built-in spring return. Energise the coil and the valve feeds the outlet; de-energise it and the spring seats the valve and vents the line to exhaust.
The 2.5 W DC12V coil is the lightest electrical load in AirTAC's 3V1 range, and the valve ships with a flying lead rather than a DIN socket, a manual override for setting up, and IP65 (DIN 40050) protection against dust and washdown splash. Air for this 1/8 in valve should be filtered to 40 um or finer; no lubricator is required.

Figures follow the official AirTAC 3V1 catalogue. Confirm coil voltage and thread (PT / NPT / G) against the product label before wiring.
| 3V1 | Body — sets the flow, the coil power and whether vacuum is rated. |
|---|---|
| 1/8 in | Port size. M5, 06 = 1/8 in, 08 = 1/4 in, 10 = 3/8 in. |
| DC12V | Coil voltage. A = AC220V, B = DC24V, C = AC110V, E = AC24V, F = DC12V. |
| — | Electrical entry: I = flying lead, otherwise a DIN plug. |
| 1F | 1 stations in one assembly. |
| PT | Port thread. PT ships from stock; G and NPT are available to order. |
A 3/2 valve has three ports — supply, outlet and exhaust — and two states. It either feeds the outlet or vents it to exhaust, and that is the whole job.
That makes it the right valve for a single-acting (spring-return) cylinder, on/off air blow, a clamp, switching a vacuum generator or suction cup, and piloting a larger valve.
It cannot run a double-acting cylinder. A double-acting cylinder needs air alternately on two sides, which takes a 5-port valve — the AirTAC 4V series.
A bench-top fatigue rig clamps its specimen with a small spring-return cylinder; a single 12 V valve station feeds and vents the clamp under PLC control.
A compact hold-down clamp holds a board during hot-air rework; the spring return keeps the clamp released whenever the 2.5 W coil is unpowered.
One 3V1 station pilots a larger diaphragm dosing valve on a chemical skid, switching it from a 12 V controller while venting the pilot line on shutdown.
As the smallest and lowest-power body in the AirTAC 3V line-up, the 3V106F1F is a switch for light duties - the series publishes no Cv, so any flow-sensitive application should be confirmed with us first. Need more? Step up to the 3V2 (1/8 in and 1/4 in ports, NC or NO selectable, Cv 0.18-0.19, vacuum-rated) or the 3V3 (1/4 in, Cv 0.62), or pick the 3V2M when a tight manifold matters more than flow. If the target actuator is a double-acting cylinder, redirect that job to the 4V series.
Match five points before ordering: port (M5 or 1/8 in), thread (PT is the family standard; G and NPT are orderable options), coil voltage (DC12V here), electrical entry (flying lead here), and single valve versus multi-station manifold (this code is one station).
Confirm before you order
A 3/2 direct-acting, single-solenoid, spring-return valve in a 1-station series assembly. Port: PT1/8 (PT is the standard thread; G and NPT exist as catalogue options). Pressure 0-0.8 MPa (0-114 psi), temperature -20 to 70 C, IP65 (DIN 40050), air filtered to 40 um or finer, no lubrication needed. Coil power depends on voltage: AC220V 4.5 VA, AC110V 4.5 VA, AC24V 5.0 VA, DC24V 3.0 W, DC12V 2.5 W - this model uses DC12V. No Cv or effective area is published for the 3V1 series.
Three ports and two states mean it feeds one line or vents it: ideal for single-acting spring-return cylinders, clamps, blow nozzles and piloting bigger valves from a 12 V signal. It cannot run a double-acting cylinder, which needs pressure on both sides of the piston - use AirTAC's 5-port 4V series for that.
