The AirTAC Airtac 3V1 Solenoid Valve 3V106F9F is a genuine 3-port 2-position (3/2) solenoid valve with 1/8 in ports. It either feeds its outlet or vents it to exhaust, which is what makes it the valve for single-acting cylinders, on/off air blow, clamping, vacuum switching and pilot duty.
Nine direct-acting 3/2 valves share one 1/8in PT base in the AirTAC 3V106F9F, each with a single solenoid and spring return. Energise a coil and the outlet feeds its line; cut power and the spring vents that line to exhaust - the behaviour single-acting cylinders, blow nozzles and pilot stages depend on.
The DC12V coils draw just 2.5 W each, which makes this body a natural pick for 12 V control systems and battery-fed equipment, and every coil housing is IP65 (DIN 40050). Supply air must pass a 40 um or finer filter; no lubrication is needed, and each of the nine stations has a manual override for commissioning.

Figures follow the official AirTAC 3V1 catalogue. Confirm coil voltage and thread (PT / NPT / G) against the product label before wiring.
| 3V1 | Body — sets the flow, the coil power and whether vacuum is rated. |
|---|---|
| 1/8 in | Port size. M5, 06 = 1/8 in, 08 = 1/4 in, 10 = 3/8 in. |
| DC12V | Coil voltage. A = AC220V, B = DC24V, C = AC110V, E = AC24V, F = DC12V. |
| — | Electrical entry: I = flying lead, otherwise a DIN plug. |
| 9F | 9 stations in one assembly. |
| PT | Port thread. PT ships from stock; G and NPT are available to order. |
A 3/2 valve has three ports — supply, outlet and exhaust — and two states. It either feeds the outlet or vents it to exhaust, and that is the whole job.
That makes it the right valve for a single-acting (spring-return) cylinder, on/off air blow, a clamp, switching a vacuum generator or suction cup, and piloting a larger valve.
It cannot run a double-acting cylinder. A double-acting cylinder needs air alternately on two sides, which takes a 5-port valve — the AirTAC 4V series.
A spring-return ejector blows small pressed parts clear of a die at high cycle, driven from one 12 V-fed station of the bank.
On a trailer-mounted spray rig running from a 12 V battery, individual stations switch spray-air and clamp lines without any mains supply.
A small workshop jig uses two of the nine stations for hold-down clamps and a third to feed a cleaning blow-off gun.
The 3V1 is the smallest and least power-hungry body in AirTAC's 3V range, but AirTAC publishes no Cv for it, so confirm any flow-critical duty with us before ordering. When the duty outgrows it, step up to 3V2 (1/8in or 1/4in, NC or NO selectable, Cv 0.18-0.19, vacuum rated) or 3V3 (1/4in, Cv 0.62); 3V2M is the answer when a dense manifold matters more than flow. A double-acting cylinder needs a 5-port valve - go to the AirTAC 4V series.
Before ordering, confirm: port and thread (1/8in PT standard on this code; G and NPT are order options), the DC12V coil, flying-lead versus DIN entry, and whether nine manifold stations beat individual valves for your layout.
Confirm before you order
Working pressure 0-0.8 MPa (0-114 psi); temperature -20 to 70 C; IP65 (DIN 40050) coils; 1/8in PT ports; manual override per station. Coil power depends on voltage: AC220V 4.5 VA, AC110V 4.5 VA, AC24V 5.0 VA, DC24V 3.0 W, DC12V 2.5 W (this version). Air must pass a 40 um or finer filter, without lubrication. No Cv or effective area figure exists for 3V1 - check with us if flow matters.
The 3V1 ordering code carries no NC/NO position, so there is no choice to make at order time: the valve is supplied in a single fixed initial state - confirm it on the datasheet before you design the circuit. What you do choose is voltage (DC12V here), electrical entry (flying lead on this code), thread and the number of manifold stations.
