AirTAC 3V110 NO Solenoid Valve 3/2 1/8in DC12V Flying Lead

The AirTAC AirTAC 3V110 NO Solenoid Valve 3/2 1/8in DC12V Flying Lead is a genuine 3-port 2-position (3/2) solenoid valve with 1/8 in ports. A 3/2 valve either feeds its outlet or vents it to exhaust, so it suits single-acting cylinders, air blow, clamping, vacuum switching and pilot duty. We stock this code and confirm its published figures from the datasheet on request.

About the AirTAC 3V110 NO Solenoid Valve 3/2 1/8in DC12V Flying Lead

This is the AirTAC 3V110 in a normally open configuration with a 1/8 inch G-threaded port. A 3/2 valve has three ports - supply, outlet and exhaust - and two positions: it either feeds air to the outlet or vents the outlet to exhaust. Because this version is normally open, air passes through to the outlet the moment supply is connected, and only stops flowing when the coil is energised. That makes it the natural choice where the resting condition of the machine should be air-on: a blow-off that runs unless told to stop, or a single-acting actuator that must extend or release when power is lost. The DC12V coil suits battery-powered panels and low-voltage control circuits, and because the electrical entry is a flying lead, the valve arrives with its wires already brought out - you connect it directly rather than fitting a DIN plug.

We stock this valve as a genuine AirTAC part and ship it as such. Across the 3V110 line you can also order the normally closed version, other coil voltages, and DIN-plug entry, with 3V-F manifold bases available if you would rather gang several valves onto one shared air supply. AirTAC's datasheet for this family is not in our hands, so any figure you would normally look up - pressure range, flow, coil power - we will happily pull out and confirm for you before you commit to an order.

We do not publish figures we cannot stand behind. We stock this code and ship it as a genuine AirTAC part, but we do not hold a specification sheet for the 3V110 family. Operating pressure, flow, coil power, protection rating and temperature are therefore not printed here — send us the model and we will confirm them from the factory datasheet, usually within 7-8 hours.

What a 3/2 Valve Does

A 3/2 valve has three ports — supply, outlet and exhaust — and two states. It either feeds the outlet or vents it to exhaust, and that is the whole job.

That makes it the right valve for a single-acting (spring-return) cylinder, on/off air blow, a clamp, switching a vacuum generator or suction cup, and piloting a larger valve.

It cannot run a double-acting cylinder. A double-acting cylinder needs air alternately on two sides, which takes a 5-port valve — the AirTAC 4V series.

Where the AirTAC 3V110 NO Solenoid Valve 3/2 1/8in DC12V Flying Lead Is Used

air

Continuous cooling blow-off on a filling line

On a bottling or filling machine, an air jet that has to run whenever the line is powered suits a normally open valve perfectly: air flows by default, and energising the coil only when the station is idle. The NO state means a control fault cannot leave the jet starved.

factory

Releasing a spring-return clamp on power failure

A single-acting clamp cylinder that must let go when the machine stops - for example on a press guard or a palletising head - is held back by a NO valve: supply present means the clamp is released or extended as designed, and only an active signal changes that.

handyman

Switching a suction cup on a small pick-and-place

A benchtop pick-and-place gripping cardboard or light plastic parts uses a 3/2 valve to connect and vent a suction cup or small vacuum generator. The 1/8 inch port matches the compact cup fittings typical on these cells; confirm the grip force you need with us before ordering.

Is the AirTAC 3V110 NO Solenoid Valve 3/2 1/8in DC12V Flying Lead the Right Part?

Choose NO over NC deliberately. Normally open means the outlet is fed whenever supply is present and the coil is off; power loss leaves your actuator or blow-off in the air-on state. If your fail-safe requirement is the opposite - outlet vented when power drops - you need the NC version of this same valve instead. The 1/8 inch G port suits compact single-acting cylinders and small blow-off work; if the actuator you are feeding is bigger, step up to the 1/4 inch or 3/8 inch options in this family rather than starving a larger port down. The DC12V coil is fixed at the factory: it must match your panel supply and cannot be converted by rewiring, so order the voltage your control circuit actually runs. Flying-lead entry is the practical pick where a DIN socket would be awkward to reach or where you are terminating straight into a loom.

One honest caution before you order: we do not hold published flow figures for this family, so if you are sizing the valve against a specific cylinder or nozzle, send us the actuator details and we will confirm suitability from the datasheet. If you need a fully specified 3-port valve on the shelf today, the AirTAC 3V2 (1/8 inch and 1/4 inch) and 3V3 (1/4 inch) direct-acting bodies have flow and coil-power figures published in their own documentation. If your cylinder is double-acting, no 3/2 valve will run it - you need a 5-port valve from the AirTAC 4V series.

Confirm before you order

  • ✓ Port size and thread (PT from stock; G / NPT to order)
  • ✓ Initial state — NC or NO, ordered up front
  • ✓ Coil voltage matches your controller output
  • ✓ Electrical entry — DIN plug or flying lead

  • check Wiring by qualified personnel, per AirTAC documentation.

AirTAC 3V110 NO Solenoid Valve 3/2 1/8in DC12V Flying Lead FAQ

We do not hold the published datasheet for the 3V110 family, so this page deliberately carries no numbers rather than guessed ones. Tell us your supply pressure, the actuator you are driving and your panel voltage, and we will confirm the figures from the datasheet as part of your RFQ. If you need published flow and coil-power data in front of you right now, the AirTAC 3V2 (1/8 inch and 1/4 inch) and 3V3 (1/4 inch) direct-acting 3-port bodies are fully documented alternatives we also stock.

No. A 3/2 valve has one outlet and can only feed or vent a single chamber, so it suits single-acting, spring-return cylinders and blow-off or venting jobs - never a double-acting cylinder, which needs both directions of a two-chamber feed. For that, use a 5-port valve from the AirTAC 4V series. If your need is fail-safe venting on power loss rather than fail-on, order the NC version of this valve instead.
