3V208NOA is the normally open member of the AirTAC 3V2 family in the 1/4in PT size. In its resting state air passes from supply to outlet; energising the direct-acting solenoid shuts the path and vents the outlet through the third port. The single spring-return poppet is coaxial, so it seats cleanly at either end of the 0-0.8 MPa range.
Flow per port is Cv 0.19, equivalent to 3.4 mm2, and the AC220V coil draws 7 VA. Because the valve is catalogue-rated for vacuum service from -102.2 kPa to 0.1 MPa, it can also hold or release negative-pressure lines - something the 3V1 and 3V2M bodies cannot do.

What a 3/2 Valve Does
A 3/2 valve has three ports — supply, outlet and exhaust — and two states. It either feeds the outlet or vents it to exhaust, and that is the whole job.
That makes it the right valve for a single-acting (spring-return) cylinder, on/off air blow, a clamp, switching a vacuum generator or suction cup, and piloting a larger valve.
It cannot run a double-acting cylinder. A double-acting cylinder needs air alternately on two sides, which takes a 5-port valve — the AirTAC 4V series.
