The AirTAC AirTAC 3V21006NCBT Solenoid Valve 3/2 NC 1/8in NPT DC24V is a genuine 3-port 2-position (3/2) solenoid valve with 1/8 in ports. A 3/2 valve either feeds its outlet or vents it to exhaust, so it suits single-acting cylinders, air blow, clamping, vacuum switching and pilot duty. We stock this code and confirm its published figures from the datasheet on request.
The AirTAC 3V21006NCBT is a 3-port, 2-position solenoid valve supplied in a normally closed configuration. Until the coil is energised, the outlet is isolated and vented; switching the 24V DC coil on connects supply to outlet, and switching it off lets the outlet down again. The three ports are tapped 1/8 inch NPT, so this variant suits NPT-piped machines rather than the manufacturer's default PT thread. Wiring is made through a DIN plug connector seated on the valve body, which unclips for service without disturbing a fixed cable.
We stock and ship the 3V21006NCBT as a genuine AirTAC part, alongside the rest of the 3V1x0 / 3V2x0 / 3V3x0 family: normally closed and normally open versions, AC220V, DC24V, AC110V, AC24V and DC12V coils, DIN plug and flying-lead entries, and 3V-F manifold bases for multi-valve installations. Any datasheet figure you need for this valve - pressure, flow or coil data - we will look up and confirm before you commit to an order.

A 3/2 valve has three ports — supply, outlet and exhaust — and two states. It either feeds the outlet or vents it to exhaust, and that is the whole job.
That makes it the right valve for a single-acting (spring-return) cylinder, on/off air blow, a clamp, switching a vacuum generator or suction cup, and piloting a larger valve.
It cannot run a double-acting cylinder. A double-acting cylinder needs air alternately on two sides, which takes a 5-port valve — the AirTAC 4V series.
Energise the coil to pressurise a single-acting clamping cylinder and hold the workpiece; cut power and the NC valve exhausts the cylinder so the spring retracts the clamp automatically.
Use the valve as a switchable air supply for a nozzle that blows swarf off a finished part at the end of a machining cycle, controlled directly from the machine's 24V DC output.
Switch the 3/2 valve on and off from a PLC to send or vent an air pilot signal to a bigger air-operated valve on a filling or packaging line, without loading the controller output.
Start with the fail-safe direction. This SKU is normally closed, so a de-energised coil leaves the actuator or downstream device unpressurised - the right choice where a power cut should let the load release. If your machine needs the opposite behaviour on power loss, ask for the NO variant instead. The 1/8in port covers small single-acting cylinders, compact blow lines and pilot circuits; step up to 1/4in or 3/8in within the family where the actuator is larger.
The DC24V coil must match your control panel supply - coil voltage is fixed at the factory and cannot be changed by rewiring. This version's NPT thread is an order option; the manufacturer's standard for the family is PT, with G also available, so check your machine's pipework before ordering. If several of these valves will sit together, a 3V-F manifold base gives them one shared air supply and one wiring run. Because published flow figures for this family are not in our hands, send us the actuator details and we will confirm sizing from the datasheet before you order - and if you need a 3-port valve with fully published figures today, our documented 3V2 and 3V3 direct-acting bodies carry that data. For a double-acting cylinder you need a 5-port valve: see the AirTAC 4V series.
Confirm before you order
We do not publish figures for this family on this page, but we hold the datasheet and will confirm operating pressure, flow and coil data for your exact application - just send an RFQ. If you need published figures in front of you right now, our documented AirTAC 3V2 and 3V3 bodies have that data published and may cover the same duty.
No. A 3/2 valve like the 3V21006NCBT has one outlet, so it can pressurise and vent a single-acting, spring-return actuator but cannot alternately feed the two sides of a double-acting cylinder. For that job you need a 5-port valve from the AirTAC 4V series, which we also stock.
