
The AirTAC Airtac 3V2M-F Base 3V2M12F is a genuine 3V2M manifold base for 12 stations on one shared air supply. A base is a machined block: it carries no coil and no solenoid, so the valves that sit on it are ordered separately.
With twelve positions, the 3V2M12F turns twelve separate 3/2 solenoid valves into one wired, one-plumbed assembly. The block carries no coil and no solenoid, so it has no voltage, no power draw, no initial state and no IP rating of its own - those belong to the 3V2M valve bodies you order on top of it. Twelve valves share a single air inlet and dump through one centralised exhaust.
The maintenance payoff is diagnostic: when a circuit misbehaves, the shared wiring lets you test every coil from one connector row, and a shared supply makes pressure-loss hunting a one-manifold job. A 3/2 valve has three ports — supply, outlet and exhaust — and two states. It either feeds the outlet or vents it to exhaust, and that is the whole job.
That makes it the right valve for a single-acting (spring-return) cylinder, on/off air blow, a clamp, switching a vacuum generator or suction cup, and piloting a larger valve.
It cannot run a double-acting cylinder. A double-acting cylinder needs air alternately on two sides, which takes a 5-port valve — the AirTAC 4V series.
Twelve rinse or blow-off nozzles along a bottling conveyor each take a 3V2M valve on this base, all venting through one exhaust header.
A weld cell fixture with twelve single-acting swing clamps is wired and plumbed from one 3V2M12F, so a stuck clamp is isolated at the block.
An automated sample carousel with twelve spring-return lift pins drives each pin from its own valve position on a single 3V2M manifold.
Twelve stations is a dense manifold, so match flow honestly: each valve path through the base is Cv 0.1. A single circuit needing more air should use a free-standing 3V2 instead (Cv 0.18 at 1/8 inch, 0.19 at 1/4 inch, vacuum-rated), or a 3V3 for the highest flow in the range (Cv 0.62, 1/4 inch, vacuum-rated). Where duty is light, 3V1 at 3.0 W DC saves power. On 24 V DC, twelve energised coils at 7.0 W total 84 W - roughly 3.5 A, which your PSU must cover at worst case.
Order the valves with the state fixed for life: an NC body stays NC and a NO body stays NO after purchase, and the dedicated base gasket cannot be flipped to convert it. Then choose voltage A/B/C/E/F, DIN plug or I flying-lead entry, and thread - PT is standard, G and NPT are order options. Double-acting cylinders are a job for the 5-port AirTAC 4V series.
