The AirTAC Airtac 3V2M-F Base 3V2M5FD is a genuine 3V2M manifold base for 5 stations on one shared air supply. A base is a machined block: it carries no coil and no solenoid, so the valves that sit on it are ordered separately.
Where the standard 3V2M base merges all exhaust air into one port, the 3V2M5FD routes each of its five stations to an individual exhaust outlet. That lets you fit a separate muffler, pipe each vent away from sensitive components, or capture oil-laden exhaust from one circuit without contaminating the others.
The supply side is still shared: one PT1/8 inlet feeds all five positions, and the valves share one wiring run. Remember that the block carries no coil, voltage or initial state of its own - the five 3/2 valves that occupy it are specified and ordered separately.

Figures follow the official AirTAC 3V2M catalogue. Confirm coil voltage and thread (PT / NPT / G) against the product label before wiring.
| 3V2M | Body — sets the flow, the coil power and whether vacuum is rated. |
|---|---|
| 1/8 in | Port size. M5, 06 = 1/8 in, 08 = 1/4 in, 10 = 3/8 in. |
| 5F | 5 stations in one assembly, independent exhaust. |
| PT | Port thread. PT ships from stock; G and NPT are available to order. |
A 3/2 valve has three ports — supply, outlet and exhaust — and two states. It either feeds the outlet or vents it to exhaust, and that is the whole job.
That makes it the right valve for a single-acting (spring-return) cylinder, on/off air blow, a clamp, switching a vacuum generator or suction cup, and piloting a larger valve.
It cannot run a double-acting cylinder. A double-acting cylinder needs air alternately on two sides, which takes a 5-port valve — the AirTAC 4V series.
Valves controlling probes and lift cylinders in a hood can exhaust through their own ports here, so moist or contaminated air is ducted out of the cabinet instead of venting near samples.
Five divert or reject gates along a sorting conveyor each take a valve on this base, and each gate vents at its own station rather than through one distant shared muffler.
Individual exhausts keep the fast cycling of capping-station eject pins from back-pressuring neighbouring circuits on the same manifold.
Decide three things per valve before ordering: NC or NO initial state, coil voltage, and DIN plug or flying-lead entry. PT1/8 is the manufacturer-standard thread on this family, with G and NPT available as order options - we do not hold stock, so confirm availability through an RFQ.
Exhaust routing is the reason to pick this D-version: choose it whenever vented air must be silenced, ducted or segregated per circuit. On flow, 3V2M is the compact-manifold option at Cv 0.1 per valve; an individual 3V2 (Cv 0.18, vacuum-rated) or 3V3 (Cv 0.62, 1/4 in) covers circuits needing more, while the 3.0 W DC 3V1 handles light duties. Double-acting cylinders require the AirTAC 4V range.
Confirm before you order
Five stations, shared PT1/8 supply, one independent exhaust per station. Valves mounted on it work from 0-0.8 MPa across -20 to 70 C, offer Cv 0.1 flow coefficient each, consume 7 VA (AC) or 7.0 W (DC) per coil, and carry an IP65 rating. The bare base itself has no electrical figures because it holds no coil.
Pick the D version when exhaust air must be silenced locally, piped to a safe area, or kept separate between circuits - for example around products, sensors or clean zones. Otherwise the centralised exhaust of the plain 3V2M5F is simpler. Either way, the NC or NO state of each valve is locked in at ordering and cannot be changed afterwards.
